Cammie's P.O.V.

Chapter 10
I end up pulling an all nighter since I wasn't able to fall asleep. I decide to get ready and pack my bags for the sleepover at Loren's. When I finish doing that I head downstairs to greet my parents. I eat breakfast and go back into my room. I hear something at my window, signaling Jacob was trying to talk to me. I open the window and see him in sweatpants and a t-shirt. His hair flat instead of in his usual quiff.
"Hey." I say.
"Hi." He says yawning.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Nothing I just wanted to talk to you." He says.
"Oh." I say smiling at him.
"Do you have any plans today?" He asks.
"Uh yeah I am going to hangout with Loren and Ariel later." I tell him.
"Speaking of Loren, I was thinking of breaking up with her." Jacob says.
"What? Why?" I ask.
"I am just not feeling it, I feel like Loren and I are better of as friends." He informs me.
"Hm okay." I say.
We then continue to talk about the most random things as usual. When I check the time I see that it is almost 2 o'clock.
"Hey I should probably get going to Loren's house." I say to him.
"Oh yeah." He says, "See you later."
"Okay bye." I say closing my window.
I pick up the bag of clothes that I had packed previously and head downstairs. My parents already knew that I was going to Loren's for a sleepover so I didn't bother saying good bye. I walk down the street passing Jacob's house on the way. I walk past a few more houses until I get to Loren's house. Before I can even knock on the door Loren has already opened the door. I can see that her makeup is smudged and she has tears in her eyes.
"Oh my gosh Loren what happened?" I ask, pulling her into a hug.
"Jacob broke up with me over text and he said we should just stay friends. Like why would he do this to me. I really thought that he was the one. He definitely treated me better than Joey." She says crying into my shoulder.
"It's okay Loren don't waste your tears on some stupid boy." I reassure her rubbing her back to calm her down.
"It's just I really thought he liked me more than a friend. He said it was weird dating and bring friends was just easier and he liked someone in our friend group." She cries to me.
"Do you know who he likes?" I ask worried.
"No." She sobs.
I continue to reassure her until Ariel comes. When Ariel gets here she immediately rushes over to us, once everything is explained she comforts her. After a while I think Loren begins to feel better because she asks me about what happened with Paige and I.
"Don't even get me started on what happened yesterday." I say rolling my eyes.
"What happened?" They both ask intrigued.
"So like I told you guys before, I have been trying to contact her and whenever I did she was always short. Well yesterday we were finally able to hangout since we were both out of school and not busy." I tell them.
"Yeah yeah so tell us what happened between you guys when you got there." Ariel says.
"Okay so I got to her house and when I went into her room she was on her phone. When I tried to talk to her she wouldn't even look at me and she was short just like when we texted. I got fed up with her and asked her why she was acting like this." I tell them.
I continue telling them about what happened yesterday both of them asking questions here and there.
"And that's how I got here." I say.
"Wow I can't believe her, from what you had said about her she doesn't seem like the person to do such a thing." Ariel says, Loren agreeing.
"Yeah I never thought she would act like this towards my success I thought she would be more happy."
"I think she's jealous." Loren says.
"Yeah who wouldn't be jealous of you Cam you have the voice of an angel." Ariel says to me.
"Oh my gosh no I don't" I say my face heating up.
We continue talking about more stuff until it's late at night.
"We should go to bed." I say yawning.
"Yeah I am really tired." Ariel says.
"Same." Loren says.
"Okay goodnight." I tell them.
Loren and Ariel say goodnight and we all go to bed. At about 11 in the morning we have all gotten up. Ariel was going to stay longer but I had to go somewhere with my parents later that day. After a while my parents get here and I say bye to Ariel and Loren.
My parents brought me home so I could get ready for the dinner they would be having with my dads clients. I wasn't really interested nor did I really care but I still had to go. When I am done getting ready I go downstairs and go straight to the garage and sit in the backseat. My parents come out a few minutes later and they drive to the restaurant. We get to the restaurant an hour later. When we are there my dad asks the waiter for the reservation and the waiter takes us to our seat. An hour later we have finished eating and we begin to go home.
When I get home I see Jacob sitting on the stairs of my porch. Confused, I approach him.
"Uh hey what are you doing here?" I ask.
"I needed to talk to you." He said smiling looking up at me.
"Oh hello Jacob, I didn't know you would be here." My dad says to him.
"Oh yeah sorry. I can leave if you want, I just wanted to talk to Cammie."
"No, no it's fine, we will just be inside." My dad tells him walking into the house with my mom.
"So what's up?" I ask.
"I need to tell you something." He says seriously.
"Okay what?" I ask.
"I'm just going to say it," He says cautiously.
I nod my head signaling him to continue.
"I really like you Cammie." He says looking right into my eyes.
