There's a flashback in this chapter that will reveal more (but nothing major) about Parker and Austin's pervious 'relationship'
Flashbacks will open with /\ and close with \/ and will be written in italics. Get it? Got it? Good
6. Sometimes I Think You Forget Who I am.
"I'll just meet you there okay?" I mutter into the phone, trying to do my makeup one handed.
"But I don't want to have to wait for you" Aiden whines and I huff.
"Either way you'll be waiting. I still have to do my hair and change" I groan. I had woken up later than expected today, which unfortunately gave me 20 minutes to get ready for lunch with Aiden and the guys.
"Ugh fine" He huffs "I'll just meet you there"
"Okay, Bye" I roll my eyes hanging up the phone. I finish my makeup and plug in my straightener, deciding to change while it heats up. I put on a pair of jeans and a band t-shirt, along with a pair of black vans before walking back to the bathroom, straightening my hair.
When I'm done I slide my phone into my back pocket and walk down to the campus bus stop, taking the bus into town. When the bus reaches the bus stop I get off and walk into Buffalo Wild Wings, where we all agreed to have lunch.
"Hey guys" I grin when I see everyone waiting in the front of the restaurant.
"Hey Parker" They smile.
"Hey Babe" Aiden kisses my temple, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
"Hi"
"So, have you put our name down?" I ask, my brother shaking his head.
"They said we had to wait until everyone was here" He tells me.
"Well, I'll go put our name down" I offer.
"You can't, we're waiting on-"
"Sorry I'm late guys" Austin apologizes, walking into the doors behind me "Got a little caught up on campus" He smirks.
"That's fine, I'll go put our name down now" My brother says.
"I'll be right back" I mumble to Aiden and he nods as I walk over to AC, sitting down beside him.
"I didn't know he was going to be here" I whisper-yell in AC's ear and he shrugs.
"I didn't either, your brother doesn't even like him so I know he didn't invite him" He says.
"I don't think I'll ever know why my brother doesn't like him. I know it's not because of what happened between Austin and I because no one knew but you" I sigh, resting my chin on his shoulder.
"I don't know what it is either. It's not like Austin's a cocky asshole or anything" He rolls his eyes sarcastically.
"If I looked like that, I'd be one" I sigh dreamily, and AC laughs.
"You guys are going to be back where you started if you don't get your shit together" He pokes my nose.
"It's funny how history can repeat itself though right? I remember being in this position as a junior" I frown "But it seemed like an easier choice back then"
"It's because you were young, and naive. Now you're older and more wise. You know what you should do, but, you want to go with what you want not what you need"
"In high school, I would've thought he was what I needed and wanted"
"I know" He pats my thigh "But this isn't high school anymore" He sighs, standing up as our group is called for a table. I stand up just as Austin walks by, my body knocking into his.
