I heard a young girl scream and frantically looked around my room. Um.... What just happened?!

I pulled the covers off my body and sat up. Well, I was napping and I heard a girl scream- that's not exactly good...

I replayed the scream in my head a few times trying to figure out who it was. It couldn't have been my mum, her voice is too deep, and the nearest neighbor is almost a mile away. It was Violet, it had to be.

A sense of nervousness struck me; why did she scream? "Let... Me... Go!!!" Ok, now I know it was most definitely Vi.

I got out of bed and rushed to put my leather boots on. What ever is happening to Vi, it's something serious, I need to act fast.

I trampled down the stairs to get to the backyard. Once I was out the door, nothing was in my way of getting to Vi in time to save her. Was I saving her? I shook the thought from my head and ran to the backyard.

Beware the bad man.

A small voice whispered these four words over and over again getting louder as I got closer to the backyard. I couldn't even hear my own thoughts but chose to ignore the voice.

I burst into the backyard barely able to keep my balance.

BEWARE THE BAD MAN.

What? Ow! A huge voice surrounded me pressuring my fall. I hit the ground hard with my eyes squeezed shut. What the heck just happened? My arm hurt somewhat but I couldn't give up yet.

I stood up stepping back a few times while catching my balance. My vision took a minute to un blur before I could see what was going on.

This is a joke right? Vi's arm is tugging on a tree branch like someone is dangerously holding her. She has her eyes squeezed shut as she struggles to get away from the branch.

Since she's scared, I won't make fun of her. But honestly, I was two seconds away from bursting into laugher. Wow, I'm actually having a problem not making fun of my sister here. Way to go, Harry.

I rushed over and grabbed her arms firmly. "Vi?", she didn't budge. "Vi, open your eyes! You're okay! You're home!" As soon as I said it, her eyes snapped open. She looked puzzled, her green eyes full of fear.

I debated whether or not to help her take the branch off. Her arm continued to struggle; now she just looked pissed. As if on cue, Vi looked at me and shook her stuck arm sarcastically.

Yeah... I should help.

I unhooked the branch from her arm. She held her arm close to her body and rubbed it.

Do I even want to know what just happened?

Violet's POV:

What's wrong with me? I could have sworn it was a hand that grabbed my arm. Harry is looking down at me like I'm crazy but I honestly don't blame him at all.

I turned around to look in the forest. Where's Meredith? How did I get here? Was all of that a dream?

"What the hell was that about?" Harry seemed angry but I could see some exhaustion in his expression. If that whole thing was a dream, I think I might just start crying now.

"I-I, um- nothing. I thought I saw something. S-Sorry for scaring you." Harry wasn't convinced. I always have been a terrible liar.

"Vi,", he got down on his knees and looked me straight in the eye. "do not lie to me." I can't. I just can't.

Harry wouldn't understand. What was I going to tell him? That I met some random girl who may or may not have taken me to a a huge place she secretly held in our backyard? If I told him that, he would take me straight to the hospital for sure.
