As we walk through Waterfall I catch myself staring at her for way too long. I make a meaningless conversation with her to distract myself. "Y/N...um...so did you have a dream after we went to...bed." I could not have worded that more badly...
"Y-yeah I did...it was about my (parent/guardian)..." " A good one or bad one?" "A very good one...it was a memory of a lullaby that they used to sing to me every night." "Um...If I'm not asking too much, could you sing it? Just curious 'cause I don't know many songs." "I mean...I guess? Oh! I know a really good place we could go to, it's really secluded!"
She pulls me along, holding my hand the entire way. My face turns blue from how amazing she looks with Waterfalls natural glow on her S/C skin...
She connects the flower bridge puzzle in a strange place and we walk across it to an place I've never seen. It's a room with an echo flower and a single bench in the middle. "S-so...do you really want me to sing it?" "If you don't want to you don't have to...I'm just curious." "No...i-it's fine, just don't make fun of my singing voice...okay?" "I won't, and that's a promise I can keep."
We sit on the bench, facing each other.
"Ok...here I go..."
As she finishes, I can't help it but cry. At the same time, my soul felt like it was full. This feeling...What is it? Is this...no it couldn't be...or is it? "Sans, are you okay?" "I...I think so...That was just...a really good song..." Her face slightly flushed red as I spoke. She gives me a hug. We stay like that for a pretty long time. "Y/N? You okay? " She quickly retracted from me. "S-sorry...W-Was my singing okay?" I can't help but smile. "It was amazing." "T-Thanks! Hey since you heard me sing, can I hear you?"
Oh crap. "Umm...you sure about that kid?" "Yes I'm sure!" "Oh well you asked for it. This is a song I found in an MP3 player someone threw in here. I liked it 'cause it reminded me of our situation a bit...Here goes nothing" I cleared my throat and sang.
During the song I closed my eyes and let the music flow out, once I opened my eye sockets, the kid was staring at me with a weird expression. "H-Hey Y/N? What's wrong? Was it really that bad?" "No! Not at all! It was incredible! It was like I had my own personal concert." Oh wow. "Um...Thanks...I thought I sucked." "Not at all!" Out of nowhere, her stomach growls loudly. I can't help but laugh. "You wanna go to Grillby's? I know a shortcut." "Y-yeah." I grab her hand and we arrive. The dogs are there and I remember something, she hasn't gone through the enemies of Snowdin, crap. "You know what Y/N, let's get out of here." "No, if they come up to me I can take them, but I'll spare them so don't worry."
They took it outside and I watched through the window, I believe in you Y/N!
After a while she spares them and comes back inside. "You good?" "Yeah...I think." "Hp?" "8/20" "Let's get you some food. Burg or fries?" "I think I'l have (your choice)." "That sounds good, hey Grillby, two orders of (your choice)." He nods and turns into the back. She makes a goofy face at me, one that I swear I've seen before...but from who?
"Pfft. What's that face for?" "Nothing~! Just messing with you." "Ok then ya weirdo."
Grillby comes back with two plates of (your choice). "...Enjoy..." "Thanks."
She smiles and my chest feels weird again. What is this feeling?
That's the end of this chapter. Sorry...about not updating. I feel really bad about it...It's summer break and I should be working on this, but I've been...I don't know...
