Chapter 8:Nightmares and Songs (Y/N's POV)

I fall asleep and I'm falling. 

Falling....

Falling?

Falling further...

I feel like I've been falling forever... then suddenly I see the ground. 

There's a ground? Apparently.

As I fall closer I notice spikes?! Oh no, no, no, no!!!!!

The ground is covered in spikes and I'm about to fall on them?!?

Somebody help!!!!    I called out for help... . . .  .  . but nobody came.

The spikes go into my stomach, shoulder, hand, and pelvis. My pelvis breaks with a sickening crack. There's no pain? Nope. The pain slowly comes in, increasing dramatically in each in interval. It's ineffable...

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

The blood...my blood streams down the spikes, showering them. An eternity passes....My throat has become sore from screaming. Now the world begins to go black, took me long enough to die...

Goodbye...Sans....

My eyes shoot open and the tears are streaming down my face. A nightmare? I look over at Sans who also seems to have woken up.   "Hey there I just woke up as we-." 

I give him a ginormous hug, he was the last thought on my mind as I died...

He gently pats my head, wiping off his own tears with his free hand.   "You wanna talk about it Y/N?"      "You say your's first. Was it about...the last route?"      "Nah, it was about you."     "M-me?"    "Yeah...Hey, can you make me a promise?"     "As long as it's not too hard to keep."    "You can be the judge of that. So...Y/N...can you promise me if Chara ever tries to take over..."     "She won't."     "Huh?"      "They'll have a really hard time communicating with me, and even if they manage to, I'll know what to do to end them forever."    "Well okay then, I just want-"   "To finally have the happy ending?"    "...Yeah. Let's go to sleep again okay?"     "Here, I know something that might ward off nightmares."     "What is it?"     I pull him into a hug.   "This."     His face turns a light blue, though he gently smiles and replies, "Alright, just sleep."   We cuddle and I comfortably fall asleep.

I'm dreaming again, but this time I'm in bed. My (parent/guardian)'s smiling at me. My mouth moves without my consent.   "(Parent/guardian) I can't sleep like this, I wanna lullaby~!"    "Okay, I know just the song!" 

As my (parent/guardian) continues to sing I fall asleep in my dream. This song I remember it, it's...

I wake up with the tears running down my face again., this time for a different reason. I smile when I feel him still hugging me. Sans looks...quite cute, he's smiling in his sleep. I might as well go to sleep again...

Out of nowhere the door slams open and a voice booms, "SANS, Y/N, IT'S BREAKFAST TIME, GET UP!!!"  Papyrus...why? Sans jolts awake and tightens the hug.  "Bro...it's morning...?"     "OH...I AM VERY SORRY, YOU TWO MUST HAVE HAD NICE DREAMS! SANS DIDN'T WAKE UP! THOUGH...ER...UM...I SEE THAT YOU TWO HAVE...QUICKLY GOTTEN R-RATHER CLOSE. SORRY FOR INTERRUPTING YOUR P-PRIVATE TIME. YOU TWO CAN COME DOWN FOR BREAKFAST L-LATER. BYE."  He quickly retreated from the room. I process what Papyrus said and go out of the bed.  "I-I'm gonna...go get b-breakfast now!"

I quickly rush to Paps' room. I'm way too embarrassed to be in front of either of them right now. I wish...me and Sans could be like that...but he wouldn't ever be interested in me... He probably loves goat mom...or Grillby... He would never love me... Before my thoughts get too dark, I go downstairs and prepare my taste buds for some of Paps spaghetti.

Instead I see...Sans cooking? Papyrus seems to be complaining.   "SANS!! WHY CAN'T I MAKE MY AMAZING SPAGHETTI?!"    "Bro, human has different needs, besides you can make the new recipe Grillby taught you later."   Sans winked at Paps and he blushes. Grillby? That's new, the game never mentions them ever even talking to each other. Me being here has either changed things or something like that. 

I walk over to Sans and see plates of bacon, french toast, and eggs(w/ scrambled eggs X'D).   "Wow Sans, I didn't know you cooked."    "Really? Then how else am I supposed to make my Sansational hotcats?"    "SAAAANNSS!!!"    "Ok bro calm down, no need to get so heated up." He cracks another egg into the frying pan.   "SANS, ONE MORE TIME AND I SWEAR-"    "Why? Are his jokes not cracking you up? I though they were eggs-celent."    "HUMAN WHY?!"   "Sans has been a pretty punny influence. After all I have at least a dozen more jokes."  I look over to Sans for approval, while Papyrus was screaming in the background, and he's laughing so hard.   "HAHAH! Y/N! Those were amazing!"   "Heh thanks!"   "Anyways it's time to eat" , he said as he put the last egg on the plate, "Dig in!"    "ARE YOU TWO DONE WITH THE HORRIBLE PUNS YET?"   "Yep!"   "GOOD! LET'S EAT!"   

After some delicious food, Papyrus was leaving for guard duty.   "I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL UNDYNE ABOUT OUR NEW HUMAN FRIEND!"    "Papyrus don't!"     "HUH? WHY NOT?"    "Because...we want to surprise her later? Her birthday is kinda coming close so that could be her present."    "THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! I'LL KEEP IT A SECRET THEN! GOODBYE YOU TWO!"    "Bye!"    "Bye bro."   

The instant he closes the door, Sans starts freaking out.   "I'm so sorry! Undyne's going to kill you and-"   "Sans, it's alright! I can face her, I know it!"    "A-are you sure?"     "Yeah!"    "Good...anyways you wanna hang out?"   "But I thought that's what we were already doing."   "I mean somewhere else."   "Oh! Could we go to waterfall?"   "Sure. don't see why not."

I hope you like this extra long chapter, I felt bad for just correcting my mistakes instead of actually writing, so I decided to do write this!
