The Wise Family (Nara Family Fanfics)

Shikadai's birth...

In the village of Konoha, three girls crowded together in the living room of a certain family known for their "laziness yet smart persona".

Suddenly, one of the girls, a platinum blonde with baby blue eyes squealed in delight which caught the other two's attention

"I hope our kids become classmates too, ne?" she said as she caressed her delicate stomach, it was bulging due to her being pregnant...well, the three of them are.

"I h-hope so too, Ino-chan..." a shy girl with navy blue hair and lavander eyes said to the the platinum blonde, now known as Yamanaka Ino.

"Nice of you to move here, Tem-chan. And Shikamaru giving ya a gift too..." the Yamanaka teased the wife of Nara Shikamaru, Nara Temari.

"Y-Yeah...I think so. And anyway, Konoha is like my second home." Temari said as she ran a hand through her stomach.

"By the way, have any of you guys saw Sakura these past few days?" the navy blue haired girl suddenly brought up.

"No, Hinata...and I wanted her to deliver our babies!" Ino pouted.

"Hmm...she'll come back. We all promised our kids to be classmates, right?" Temari inquired with a small smile on her face.

"Uh, guys is it okay if I leave now? Sai said I have to rest and he insists that if I don't rest on time, he's never gonna take me out on udon!" Ino said as their mouths watered at the mere mention of the food

"Mmmm...udon..."

"Okay sure, Ino. I'll follow you. I have to cook ramen with Naruto-kun tonight. See you tomorrow, Temari!" Hinata said, her voice full of energy

"Bye, Tem!"

"Bye guys!"

As Ino and Hinata left, Temari stood up and walked towards the kitchen... albeit a little slowly.

She rummaged Shikamaru's fridge, looking for something good to eat. The baby is making her cravings worse than before...

"Ramen...ramen...ramen...ramen. Ugh! Is there any- Ooh! Onigiri! Must. Eat!" Temari rambled to herself but she was caught of guard when a pair of arms snaked around her waist

"HENTAI!!" she screamed as she was about to hit the person but was stopped when she heard the voice

"Stop being sadistic. Tadaima, fujin..." a certain pineapple head's voice stopped her but in return, she blushed a thousand shades of pink and red.

"Sh-Shikamaru..."

"You should sit down. I'll make udon for you. You want that onigiri too? I'll make more for you..." Nara Shikamaru guided her to sit on the dining room as he cooks in the kitchen.

"I didn't know you were a good cook. This udon tastes good." Temari ate more udon and Shikamaru rubbed the back of his head

"Actually, I was horrible cook. That is, until kaa-san forced me to learn to cook for me to start a family of my own...but," he paused to hold Temari's hand "I'll be happy to do more things for you..."

Her eyes watered at his words "Shikamaru...kun...arigato..."

"Doitashimashite..."

Months later...

Shikamaru's Pov

I heard a crash noise in the kitchen and I bolted up and ran there...only to see Temari clutching her stomach while bending over

"Temari! Is the baby coming?!" I carried her bridal style and ran out of the house, and went to the hospital

"Shik...amaru...he...wants to...come out..." Temari said but I shushed her and went to the emergency room, seeing Shizune and Tsunade

"Lady Tsunade! Please...help her! The baby's coming!"

"Quickly! Lay her down here!"

I paced back and forth in the waiting hall.... Kami, don't let anything happen to her...all I can think about is her. I freaking love that woman! Even if she is troublesome sometimes...

I close my eyes and remembered all the things Temari and I did together...

Being rivals in the Chunin Exams, Me seeing her defeat Tayuya with her Wind Scythe Jutsu, Being her escort around Konoha, being proctors for the Chunin Exams, being frenemies and finally...being husband and wife...

She completed me...and she said I was the first one who knew her quirky side...I even topped her brothers for pete's sake!

She also said she had a crush on me...the one her friend mentioned as an...intelligent guy....

"Shikamaru..." a deep voice cut my flashbacks and I saw Gaara and Kankuro in front of me. I think they know Temari's month of giving birth.

He wore the Kazekage hat (A/N: Lol!) with the sign of Suna and beside him was Kankuro who smirked at me

"You do know our sister's a pretty tough woman, right?" Kankuro suddenly said

"...Too true, too true, Kankuro..." I replied as the two sat beside me.

Soon, Tsunade-sama and Shizune exited and smiled at us

"Your wife and your baby boy is fine. And I gotta say...you have a pretty strong wife...her delivery was very delicate...but she made it..." Tsunade-sama told me

"You can see her now..."

Temari's Pov

I can't believe I'm finally a mom...I caressed my son's hair as he drank milk from me...

Soon, the door opened and revealed the one responsible for giving me this gift together with my brothers

"Come meet your son, Shikamaru. Meet your nephew, Gaara, Kankuro..." I told them as they come near me

"He's gonna be a very fine ninja...congratulations, onee-chan..." Gaara told me as he touched the head of our son.

"Oi, Tem, were you asleep when you made this kid? He's practically a carbon copy of Shikamaru." Kankuro teased but I wasn't angry as our son opened his eyes

"Look closer, Kankuro..."

"Huh?"

There, our son's eyes resemble my own, dark steely green...

"Maybe not TOTALLY a copy..."

I glanced at Shikamaru and noticed his hair not in their usual tight ponytail, making him look a bit of...I don't know, a girl?

"I know your clan has a tradition that the children's name should start with shika so I thought of a name..." I said as our son's eyes closed again

"And what did you come up with?"

"Shikadai..."

"Where did the 'dai' come from, Tem?" Kankuro asked and I smiled

"Dai...suki..." I answered simply and my brothers shrugged and smiled

Shikamaru kissed my forehead and kissed our son's hair

"I love you both..."

I smiled as glanced up at him

"I love you both too..."
