From The Humour Of Scholars.
One of the students of knowledge narrated that he was on a trip to Europe with a host of scholars for the purpose of Da'wah.
He said:
"we lodged in a hotel and it was time for Salah.
The hotel had no space for Salah. We came down to pray in a narrow space while there was a small room in front of us.
We said to the Imam (the one to lead us in prayer), " you stand in this small room while we pray in the narrow space behind you."
"We commenced the prayer and we were in the first sujud (prostration).
The prostration was prolonged so much that we remained in prostration, prostration, prostration.
Finally, we raised our head to know what had happened.
We were shocked that the Imam was no where to be found.
We later discovered that the small room was a lift.
The Imam found himself saying "Allahu Akbar" on the fourth floor."
