3- caught in the act

??? POV~

Night finally, I got up and put out the fire. I pulled out the weapon and walked toward the small village. there was no paths yet but some building were in progress of being build. A tree house, no if I get caught I won't be able to escape easily. I don't like being a thief but i do this to keep my sister alive. I didn't go in the same house because it's a bad Idea in my opinion maybe the one next to it. I tried to find a entry point and I heard a voice and it sounded male. "your not going to get away this time" I started to run along the house and turn the corner and into the forest.

Mitch POV~

she was running into the forest I think it was the same girl who stole from us the other night, and tried to take from Me. I still continued to chase her and I caught up to her and tackled her. but when I did we fell, my instinct was to hold her, We hit the ground.

"Ow" she said and I got up and I grabbed my sword hand held it to her neck. she fell silent but didn't look at me.

"Why are you trying to steal from us, give me one good reason not to kill you right here" I demanded with anger in my voice.

"I'm sorry, but I had no choice I was forced to to get my sister from the thugs that have her they where going to kill her but I created a deal so I can keep her alive" She said and I could tell she meant every word and I lowered my sword and held out my hand. She still wasn't looking at me i was confused but she took it and got up.

"Why aren't you looking at me, it's complicated, c-can we just get out of here?" She said and I was looking around for a torch but I came up with nothing.

"Do you have anything to lite up and we can figure out where we are?" I asked her she looked threw her satchel I think and she got something and it lit up and it was a cave system. I look up from where we fell it was quite aways. "I wish we had some wings or something so we can get back up there" I said out loud.

??? POV~

We walked in the direction we are facing I didn't bother asking his name, I don't want him to see what I look like but it'll bound to happen at some point. "what's your name?" He asked I didn't want to answer, but I can't leave it unanswered that's just rude so's a fake name in my opinion.

"It's Sage" I said and looked for an exit, "I don't think we're any closer to the surface" I said "Do you have a Pick axe?" I asked him

"Yes, why are you in such a rush to leave?" He asked me, I'm wasting time I need to get out now.

"I have to get my sister, I'm wasting time I need to get her out" I said I handed him the pictuer I had of her before the world went wrong.

"she looks like the little girl we found in the woods, what's her name?" He asked me

"Cora, now do you have a pickaxe?" I asked again. he did and started mining.

"We have Cora" He said mining up wards and made somewhat of a stair case. we made it to the surface.

"Ok, lead me to her" I said to him trying to prove it, I still had my face hidden and we walked back to where he lives in the small village. I looked to the sky and it was almost morning. now to see if he's telling the truth.
