He couldn't look at me any longer; His eyelashes fluttering. His jaw clenched and he wouldn't make eye contact as he tapped his foot anxiously on the ground. His long, slender fingers gripped the bottom of the chair tightly and rocked it back and forth. It seemed as though the noise around us was too much for him. The tall and slender man bent over and put his head in his hands and he ran his fingers through his hair.

"What did you do?" I spoke up, tapping my cigarette into the ashtray. He looked up slowly with his eyebrows furrowed.

"W-what? I don't... Um..."

I crossed my legs and scoffed at his lack of knowledge, "they don't put just anyone in here, skinny. They only put you in here if you're bad."

"I'm not bad. There's nothing wrong with me. I just don't want to be in this world anymore."

I grinned at Skinny's response. "You and me both. Us and everyone here. But tell me why you're really here."

Skinny sighed and leaned back once again to his original position. The fuss around us was agitating him. Yet he spoke, "I was here before. A long time ago. I was better and they let me out. Now I'm bad again I guess. That's what they say anyways."

"And what do you think?"

"About what?" The soothing music grew louder.

"What do you think about being here again?" I translated.

Skinny paused and thought for a minute before speaking again, "I believe I'm too intelligent for such a cruel world."

I stared at him and took in his appearance. He was tall and slender with a porcelain skin tone and dark chocolate eyes. Eyes that a girl would fall in love with looking into, but something was different. I saw that. There was pain and insanity behind them that I don't think he even understood. "So, what? A guy like you must have all sorts of stuff out there for him. Why be so sad?"

He shrugged and shook his head. Skinny's eyes looked to the glass ceiling. "Not really. There's not much anywhere for me. I'm a goner."

I smiled and put out my cigarette that had burned close to my fingers while listening to him. "You're interesting. And you're not telling me everything. What's your name, Skinny?"

He gulped, his eyes catching mine again.

"Tyler."
