Chapter 7

Sophia's PoV at the firehouse

"Can't believe that u and Kelly are 4 months pregnant all ready" gabby said
"And I can't believe that u and Matt are 5 months" we just sat in the ambo laughing and talking about mine and Kelly wedding.
"What are you going to do when you and severide get married you can't stay on squad." Gabby questioned
"Honestly I don't know chief told me that I can transfer to 1st or 3rd watch and be on squad and if I do 1st I can be lieutenant so I might do that" I answered
"But I want to be on the same shift as you"
"Well Kelly is saying that he will change shifts but then he can't be lieutenant and I don't want to take that away from him" gabby was about to reply when the alarm went off. Ambo 61 truck 81 engine 51 house fire. I was kind of glad that Kelly wasn't going he is never safe on calls even when I remind him. I want our children to have a father not pictures and a grave of their father.

When we arrived I saw something that I never wanted to see jay been carried over to us he was in there he could be dead all these Thoughts were going through my head until I snapped out of it and try to save him.

We arrived at med "what we got sis"
"Jay, 30 year old male smoke insolation don't know anything else no visible bruises or bleeding"
"Get X-ray ready and let's intibate in treatment 4" will shouted. I just stood there shocked of what just happened.

When we returned to the house I went straight to the lockers trying to not let anyone see that I am upset. "Hey babe whats wrong" Kelly asked me quietly as he came and picked me up.
"It's Jay the call we just went one jay was inside I don't even know if he is alive" I couldn't hold it back any more I burst out crying on Kelly chest. He hugged me and rubbed my belly as I was now starting to show a bit more now, as the Paramedic shirts are quite tight. He loved me and I loved him and we both loved our babies. "Hey did I tell you that we are finding out the genders at our next ultra sound" I said trying to stop crying.
"No babe that's great what do you want? I want all boys so they can be like me but I would love to have a little you"
"I would not like our kids to be like you because you can just be with one woman except me of course" I kissed him on the lips "I would like a boy then a boy then a girl because it's always good to have two older brothers" I walked off thinking of how jay has all ways been there as my older brother and just the thought of losing him haunted me.

Severides PoV

Sophia just walked off after explaining to me what happened I know if she loses jay the world would end for her.

I walked back to squad. That's when I saw my dad, I got up and walked towards him. "What do you want dad!" I said angry,
"Just came to see my son at work" he said like nothing was wrong with it.
"Well you have so now leave" I shouted. That's when I saw Sophia walking over out the corner of my eye, I was hoping that she wouldn't come over but she did. "Hey what's up babe I am kind of busy here" i asked her
"Oh don't worry i will tell you later" she kissed me and walked off.
"So you and her then"
"Yes dad ok you've seen me now you can leave"
"I have one more question"
"What is it dad"
"How far along"
"Why do you wanna know its not going to know you" with that he walked off. I went and sat back at squad table and everyone was just staring and me wondering what just happened.
