It was taking forever to get to my brothers. Probably because I usually sleep through car rides so time goes faster. But I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about that girl. As I look back she wasn't creepy. She was nice, and fun. Even a little weird but that's always good.

I was looking out the window. Everything in Oklahoma was beautiful. Even at night. I didn't realize we were at my brother's until  my dad's voice took me out of my trance. "We are here."

I got out of the car and stretched. My brothers house was pretty big. Not two stories like I'm used to but I guess it'll work. I grabbed my bags. I had four for all of my stuff. It wasn't all clothes. I don't even have that many. I felt someone poke my side while I was reaching my last bag. I knew who it was. He's the only one that does it. "Hey Todd," I say.

"Hey, sorry you had to move out here. I told mom I'd be down more often after this passed school year because I'd be done with college. But she insisted."

"Mom does what she wants. You know that. Thanks for trying though," I said as I hug him. He helps with my problems like dad does. If I need to talk about something and I can't talk to dad I talk to him. We've always been close. He helped me with my bags and lead me to my room.

It was nice. Homey. "You can come here whenever you are having problems and you need to get away," he says.

"Really?"

"Really really," he said with a smile. I love his smile. It's protective. Big brother protective. I laughed.

"Thanks. I love you."

"I love you too," he said. He starts to walk out but stops at the door. " get some rest," he whispers,"Night."

"Night," I whispered back.

I slept soundly that night. Tomorrow I'll get unpacked and explore the town. Then the next day I start high school. I'm so not ready.
