Unexpected love

Chapter 5

Nicole POV

Todd and I spent the whole day together driving around and catching up on what was going on in our lives. We started laughing because we really didn't have much going on.

"We are so boring," I say laughing.

"Not my fault I was busy with school and you are a loser," he says smirking.

I punched his arm. "Ow! Dang you got strong since the last time I saw you," he says as he rubbed his arm laughing.

I start listening to the radio. It's not very loud so I have to concentrate to hear it clearly. I figure out what song it is but I wait for the loud part. Once it comes I turn the radio up loud and sing it.

"I FEEL LIKE A MONSTER!!"

"HOLY CRAP! Good lord. How does dad live with you?" Todd asks turning the radio where we can hear it and each other. I start laughing my butt off.

We keep driving around for a while. After we went to subway for lunch Todd took me home because he has to go to work. I should have been looking for a job.

I go to my room to unpack the rest of my things. I put my music on and start sorting.

----Two and a half hours later----

I go to find my dad to ask him when we are having dinner. I can't find anyone and the only place I have not looked is the kitchen. Once I get to the kitchen I still do not find anyone. Instead I find a note.

Hey Sweetheart, your mother and I went to the store to get stuff to make breakfast for dinner (don't worry we will get bacon). We will be back in an hour or so. We left at 4. Love you.

I check my phone. 4:15. They did not leave that long ago. I start to head back to my room but the doorbell rings. I head over to it and open it. "May I help you?"

"Hello," the lady says confused," Who are you?"

"I should ask you the same question," I say.

She gives me a dirty look but then smirks. "I am Tiana. Todd's girlfriend."

I smile back," Wow. Well then you should have known Todd is at work and not here then. Also you would have known who I am because he knew I was coming for a couple weeks now."

"Who are you," she yells at me. Right then Todd walks up and puts his arm around my shoulders.

"What is going on Nicole?" he asks.

"Your girlfriend here-" he interrupted me.

"Girlfriend?" he asks.

"That is what she said she was to you," I said looking at him. Now I am confused.

"Tiana we are not dating. We broke up two weeks ago," he says.

Her and my mouths drop. She gives me a glare and says," So what? You replaced me with her?"

Todd rolls his eyes. "She is better than you," he says with a smile and I start laughing," But if you ever paid any attention to me when I talk to you, you would know that this is my sister."

Tiana opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. She huffed and stomped away. Once Todd and I got into the house and shut the door we started cracking up.
