Name Game (Ch 2)

(Phil's POV)
I walk to my class and I'm earlier than most. I see a girl (or I'm assuming a girl) walk in wearing a pink dress she looks nice I would like to befriend her. I sit down next to her. "Hi I'm Phil" I say to her putting my hand out as a handshake. "Hi. I'm Dan." I like her name. I'm guessing it's short for something. It suits her. "Well Dan how are you? Enjoying your first day so far?" I ask her. "I'm ok and yes I am what about you?" She says. "I'm fantastic. Also I'm happy I don't have to wake up as early as I used to last year" I say smiling. "Oh what time was that?" She asks me. "It was 6:29 exactly. If I woke up at 6:28 I would be too early but if I woke up at 6:30 I was too late." I say. She giggles. "Wow that's not fun. Last year I had to wake up at 7:45 and I still had time left before my bus came. This year I have to wake up earlier at 6:25" she tells me. "Wow that's not fun" I say repeating her.

(Dan's POV)
Phil seems nice. I hope he accepts me as gender fluid. Oh my god. What if I feel like a boy tomorrow or both or none? How will I explain this on the first day we meet? "Alright settle down everyone." Our teacher says. Wow I didn't even notice people come in. "Happy first day of school. To remember our names we are going to play a game. I'm sure you did it in all your other classes too." She says. "In case you didn't we are in a circle as you can see and we are going to say our name and two things about us then the person after you has to say their name and two things about them and repeat your name. Hi I'm Mrs. Wiliks and I hate the subject social studies but teach it to make it fun for others who hate social studies. Also I love math." She says. Next is a girl. "Hi my name is Mary and I like penguins. And I really want a British accent. This is Mrs. Wiliks and she hates the subject social studies but teaches it to make it fun for others who hate social studies and she loves math." Mary says in her American accent. Next is Phil. "Hi I'm Phil. I like boys. I love video games. This is Mary and she likes penguins and she wants a British accent." Then it's my turn. Wait. Phil likes boys? Is he gay or is he kidding. "Hi I'm Dan. My favourite colour is black. And I like boys also. This is Phil he likes boys and loves video games." I say. Then next to me a boy says, "Hi I'm Nathan. I like narwhals. I am friends with Mary and Rose we come from the same state. This is Dan her favorite color is black and she likes boys as well as Phil." He says with an American accent. Then next to him is a girl. "Hi my name is Rose and my favorite color is blue. I am friends with Nathan and Mary. This is Nathan. He likes narwhals and he is friends with Mary and I and we come from the same state." She says with her American accent. And the game continues.
