(Dan's POV)
I put on the alternating ring. Then I remember that my friends Rose, Mary and Nathan the Americans don't know yet. They were not at school the three days I was a boy because they went back to America. I guess I have to tell them today. I walk into social studies. Phil looks at my bracelet. "They/Them pronouns fancy" he says. "Yep" I say popping the "p". Mary, Nathan and Rose come in. I can do it. I'll be ok. "Mary, Nathan, Rose I have something to tell you." I'm nervous but not as nervous as I was when I told Phil. "I'm gender fluid." I say. "Thank god I thought you had cancer or something." Mary says. I chuckle. "Wait what is gender fluid." Nathan says. "Some days I feel feminine and some days I feel masculine some days I feel none and some days I feel both. Actually you see this ring it's blue and pink stripes because I'm they/them pronouns." I explain to him. They accept me.
<Seven hours later>
I open my front door. "Mum, Dad I'm home." I scream. "She'sss not home" my dad slurs. He's drunk. I try to run to my room. ~Trigger warning: sexual assault~ He grabs my wrist. I'm then pushed against the wall. I know he will slap me until I'm almost dead if I say for him to stop. He rips off my shirt so I close my eyes. He takes off his pants and mine. "Take off yourrr boxers" he slurs. He won't remember this in the morning. I do what he says, scared. He has his dick out I know because he puts it in me and thrusts and I'm not enjoying it. ~Trigger warning over~ He stops and I hear snoring. He fell asleep. He won't even know this happened when he wakes up.
(Phil's POV)
I want to go to Dan's house. I text him: hey Dan can I come over? He texts back. I guess, my address is 374 Gecci Drive. "Bye mum I'm going to Dan's" I say then run outside. I take a left, right, left, straight, left and right. I'm here. I knock four times. "Come in" I hear Dan. ~Trigger Warning: mention of rape~ They sound like their crying. I walk in. "Why are you crying?" I say worried. "My dad r..r..aped me" he says crying even more. "Shh. Shh. It's ok. Shh. Don't cry." I hug them. They are so cute. I mean.. I mean friendly. ~Trigger Warning Over~ "Thank you. Sorry I'm a mess." Dan says. "You aren't a mess. You are broken pieces that I need to repair." I say. "You don't need to." They say. "Well I want to." I say.
