Cassandra Cain/Black Bat x Female!reader

Lighting struck. Another one was down. The dark creature was fast and quick. (Y/N) assumed nothing could take it down. She closed her eyes, not wanting to see how they were all beaten.

By the time she opened her eyes, her kidnappers were either hung upside down from the ceiling or they were laying on the ground. All of them looked broken and bruised to her.

"Uh," (Y/N) said, "If you're out there...could you untie me...please?" Her eyes went up to the rafters as she saw a person drop down. Slowly the thing, the darkness, the nothing made it's way over to her.

The person who rescued her stepped into the light. She let her eyes drop to the ground, afraid to make eye contact. As the person untied her and helped her stand up, (Y/N) realized that it was a girl. Batgirl! Batgirl was the one who saved her!

"I...uh, no...thank you," (Y/N) stuttered out, "Thanks for rescuing me!"

Though she couldn't see through the mask on her mouth she knew that her savior smiled back.

"Here," Batgirl said, "I will show you out...out of here. There are police officers and medics outside."

(Y/N) followed her through the dark hallways. "You're Batgirl, right?"

"No...yes...not anymore. I was...I am Black Bat, not Batgirl."

She mouthed back an 'oh' and they continued to walk on. "I still think," (Y/N) spoke again, "You're pretty cool and I, uh, really like the way you, y'know, fight and take down bad guys and stuff."

She heard Black Bat let out a small chuckle as a thank you once they reached the outside. She guided (Y/N) to medics for a look at her cuts and bruises then went to talk to the Commissioner about the situation.

"She's really cool," (Y/N) said the woman cleaning her wounds. "Have you ever met her before?"

"The Black Bat? No, I'm afraid not." The lady responded. "Alright, you're pretty good to go. Nothing major, just minor cuts and bruises." She let (Y/N) go.

"Thank you."

"No problem."

(Y/N) walked over to where Black Bat and Commissioner Gordon were talking. As soon as she arrived, they finished their conversation. Black Bat looked at her then at Gordon. She shrugged slightly and moved out of the way.

"I need to talk to you about what happened in there," The Commissioner said.

Black Bat saved my life, you guys didn't, (Y/N) thought. "Uh, what do you want to know exactly?"

"Uh, you know what? Never mind she already told me everything." Gordon walked off to talk to the men who were going to bring out the thugs.

"I hope you are well. Please stay safe," Black Bat said.

"Tha-" (Y/N) turned around only to see that Black Bat wasn't there anymore. How did she do that?

A few weeks later

(Y/N) stood behind the counter taking everyone's order. As the day went on the more she focused on her moment with Black Bat. She couldn't shake the image of her meeting Black Bat, nor get her out of her mind.

Soon, as she was about to clock out, a woman, a person who looked about her age, and a few boys came up to the counter and ordered something.

Something about the woman seemed familiar to (Y/N). Is it the way she talked? Or was it the height, maybe it was the-

She didn't realize she was too far in her thoughts to notice that they were right in front of her.

"Uh, I-I'm so sorry...how can I take your order...?" She trailed off, hoping that the woman would say her name.

"Uh, Jaso-" The man was cut off.

"It is Cassandra. My name is Cassandra." The woman said.

"Okay, what would you like?" (Y/N) said as she listened to their order.

She watched them get seated then she grabbed a pen and napkin. She wrote down note and her number and put it in the bag that had Cassandra's food. Clocking out she watched as her coworker handed them the food.

I said this one too many times to you, but thank you again for saving me, Cassandra/Black Bat.
