'What happened?' Asked Amy to no one in particular, the Doctor knelt down to see any hint of alien activity, he scanned the corpse with his sonic, he lowered his head in respect, 'is he_' Rory's words vanished, 'we were too late...' The Doctor said, 'a couple of days, a week maybe' he muttered, Amy turned to her husband, she couldn't stand the sight of a dead body, 'how?' Amy asked, 'I'm not sure, the sonic is picking up unusual signals,', he strode up, examining his sonic screwdriver, 'can we leave now, please I can't...' Amy said, although traveling with him for a long time, Amy still hadn't gotten used to death, nor should she ever, as for the Doctor; he seemed more mature about it, he is 903 after all, how many of his friends had died? Amy wondered, she sometimes even wondered if she and Rory would meet the same fate as the others before them.
'No, not now Amy, not quite yet...', Rory stepped forward, 'Doctor, people don't just drop dead, something must've happened', 'exactly and until I figure it out we all must stay put!' He strolled back and forth in a steady paste.
'But it doesn't have to necessarily be alien?' Amy joined them, 'Doctor there are things in life we can't fix, he's old, maybe he had a heart attack?' Rory checked his pulse, Rory looked back at Amy and silently shook his head, 'no, it's not that easy, it's never.that.easy!' The Doctor seemed infuriated, more than the usual, 'are there any signs of struggle?' Amy asked as she went after the Doctor, 'yes, the last time I checked heart attacks don't quite work like that!', 'so...' Rory tried piecing the clues together, 'so, someone or something caused this!' The Doctor muttered to himself, he turned to Amy and Rory, 'Amy, Rory get in the TARDIS!' He said as he strolled to the TARDIS, 'now he leaves!' Amy said as they both followed him in the TARDIS, the Doctor was already fiddling with the dial of the console , while checking the screen at the same time, he looked too worried.
'Doctor what is it?', 'nothing to worry about, I'll get you 2 home!' He said, 'home?' Amy raised her voice, 'what about you?' Rory asked in confusion, 'off to do things...', he zoned off, 'things?, what things?' Amy confronted him, the doctor didn't answer but instead raised his attention back to the screen, 'listen, whatever it is your up to, I personally would like to be apart of it!' She looked at Rory for support, Rory just shook his head, 'yea, Amy's right, we should be apart of whatever it is your up to' he said unenthusiastically, Amy rolled her eyes, 'so,' Amy continued, 'where are we going?', the Doctor tried to argue but didn't bother, every argument with Amy would eventually end up with him losing.
'Well?' Amy demanded, 'it seems there is a power strike' the Doctor fiddled with his bow tie, Amy and Rory looked at each other and then back to him, 'what?' They both asked in unison, the Doctor rolled his eyes, 'an energy boost all cuddled up In one spot,' he carried on, 'and that's bad?' Amy asked with a confused look on her face, 'yes! temporal energy can overheat and cause total destruction!' He pointed at the screen, 'ugh, I still don't understand!' Amy leaned forward to see the the screen, 'humans, so close minded!, imagine a battery overloading and over heating all at the same time!', 'then it would explode?' Rory said, 'yea I get it!' He said as he joined Amy and the Doctor.
A squiggly line over coated with numbers appeared on the small screen, neither Amy nor Rory understood what it meant, and the Doctor was very well knowledgeable about that.
'So what does that mean?' Amy frowned, 'it means...' smiled the Doctor, 'we're going into darkness...'
