Kate sets up a training camp so Jinx can improve her magic.

"You have got to be kidding me" Jinx protested, "Kate this is over the top, even for you"

"I'll have you know, it's a perfectly normal training system" Kate defended herself. It had taken ages, to get the necessary things and to set everything up, just the way they needed it. All my hard work would go to waste if she quits now.

"What if people see us?" Jinx argued. Yes, they were in the countryside, but people still lived in the countryside. Kate's house was situated, as one of the houses furthest away from the town centre, and other houses (,since Kate's backyard was actually a massive field, with sections separated for growing vegetables and plants, as well as large trees). But Jinx was still sure, there were still other houses near by, specifically mortal houses.

"We'll be fine. Our house is miles away from the town centre, so no one from the town can see us. Plus this field, also known as our garden is a "no entry" zone for any passers by. So what Kate has in mind, will suffice" Jonathan clarified.

"It'll do more than suffice. I think it'll be just what she needs" Kate smiled.

"She doesn't look too confident about that" Ruban noted.

"She, has a name. Don't worry Jane it'll be alright. I made sure Kate didn't set up anything that would put you in any real danger" Bella reassured, "Now then let's start. Wands at the ready"

The first day of what Kate had dubbed as "training camp" consisted of an obstacle course; not those childish, running through rubber tyres, leaping over a bench obstacle course, that Jinx had seen at sports days' when younger. No. This was an obstacle course, made for witches and wizards. More importantly an obstacle course made by the one and only Kate Stewart, who loved a challenge; so in Jinx's opinion anything intense, which meant she herself would be pushed to new limits whether she liked it or not.

When they had all entered Kate's garden, Jinx was greeted with a various bits and pieces around the massive field that made up Kate's obstacle course. On the grass there were small brightly coloured hoops, the size of Jnx's foot. What am I supppsed to do with those? Shrink and jump across? Jinx wondered. There was also ropes attachee to two trees and high above the sky there was some red and navy blue criss-cross lines, as well as two large clear hemisphere's at either end of the lines. Next to the tree, was a black ball, about the size of a football, 2 white bats and 2 pairs of black and white gloves. Normally this equipment would intrigue Jinx and she'd be willing to go with Kate's plan; but Kate being Kate had decided to add the dreaded flyboards, as well as a few pairs of small rectangular boards about the size of anyone's shoes. Thankfully there's only three of those things Jinx sighed in relief. There is no way I'm going on that devil contraption again!

"Kate I'm not getting on that. Not after last time"

"Oh come on, it wasn't that bad"

"My board went out of conlntrol and I crashed into a classroom through a window!"

"Which is why you could use the practice!"

" Jinx don't worry, you won't be using the flyboards for a few weeks. You'll be using the glider skates until you get thr hang of flying" Bella explained. She had heard from Kate about Jinx's experience on a flyboard and thought it was best to have the young witch start from scratch, before she got on a flyboard again.

"Besides we got you these" Kate's sister Amelia stated, as she handed Jinx the black helmet, arm & knee-pads.

Jinx glanced around and saw there were two more sets of safety gear, one was bright green and the otherca bright blue. Unlike Jinx's they were much smaller, like they would fit a child 3-4 years old.
"We hear you're unlucky so we thought we'd have you patched up for training." Jhonathan stated.
