Lapis POV
I couldn't stop smiling...
For whatever reason this gem I barely knew somehow has given me a huge grin. Maybe it just feels good to let out my emotions, or maybe I just like her company. But whatever she's doing I know is making me feel better. "Alright, I think I'm done sitting around now. Let's get to work." and with a quick turn of my dress I stared at the broken down wall so that she may hear me better. "Got any ideas?" "How about we try those vents in my cell?" She replied. "I'm short enough to fit through without my limb enhancers."
"Your what?"
"My enhancers. They help me with my work."
"Huh. Deeply noted. But do you know your way through the vents?"
"That's where you come in right?"
"heck yah!"
I chuckled a little at how excited I sounded talking about a vent.
"When you go in try and lead yourself to the sound of thumping and shaking as the core fuel is so unstable that even the special case they made to contain it in rocks back and forth due to the pressure of the fuel."
"Man you really do know your stuff!"
I shrugged to myself. "It's a gift."
Peridot POV
I quickly began to tear of the vent cover (thank diamond it was old as hell) when I came to a shocking realization. "What do I do when I get to the core?" I asked. "Just wait for me there. I have my ways of getting out of here." That sounded good enough to me. And off I went into the vent, heading to what could be the end of both me and Lapis.
