Y/N's POV:

I wandered the streets of Whiterun. It was maybe 2:00am. I just couldn't fall asleep tonight, and I instead looked up at the beautiful aurora dancing above me.

"No lollygaggin' " A clear masculine voice said from behind me. I turned around and saw another of Whiteruns guards. These guards were... Interesting to say the least. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to try to befriend the guard?

"You got stuck with night duty?" I ask and walked over to him,

"My cousins out fighting dragons, and what do I get? Guard duty..." He huffed.

"Yeah, that must be a bummer..." I scuffed, remembering all the dragons I've slayed.

"Why are you talking to me? I'm just a guard..." He crossed his arms and leaned against a nearby building.

"Well... You started the conversation so-"

"Humph..." He huffed.

"Did you know that I'm the dragonborn?" I smirk, hoping to strike a conversation. These guards were so annoying yet mysterious.

"Maybe I'm the dragonborn, and I just don't know it yet..." He chuckled.

"Haha, very funny..." I rolled my eyes.

"I used to be an adventurer like you... Until I took an arrow to the knee..." The guard looked down at the ground.

"Eh?"

"Well, actually it was my brother who took an arrow to the knee, but I became a guard to help him earn up some gold."

"That's very kind of you!" I say in shock.

He looked at me, and took off his helmet. His short dark brown hair waved around his pale Nordic skin. His scruff had caught a few snowflakes. "I'd take an arrow to the knee for you any day." He smiled.

"Just call me the Whiterun Guard~" he winked at me. "Don't worry, I'm not like the others."

"I'm Y/N, but just call me dragonborn." I blushed and laughed. Maybe those Guards aren't that annoying... Well at least not this one.

"So, my shift will be over soon... How about we meet at the Bannered Mare?"

"Sounds like a plan." I smiled.
