Evaline pov (point of view)

"Evaline what is this?" I hear my mother say holding up a picture I had drawled that was for her.

"It is you and me mommy" I simply state

"What have I told you about this. You must train first before you can do anything else. Why must you disappoint me evaline?" she says getting irrated

"Im sorry mommy. I promise next time ill train first before anything else. do you like it." I ask pointing to the picture I drawled

She crumbles it up in her hand "I would like for you to go start your training." she finish saying throwing the picture in the trash.

I wake up to pounding on the door. I start to panic "did they find me," I ask to myself.

I walk slowly to the door still hearing the door pound it sounded like a gun shot being taken to my heart every time there fist made contact with the wooden door.

Bang

Bang

Bang

I walk quietly to the window taking a peak of who it is.

I see a woman with something in her hand it looked like a package.

I open the door knowing its not them. Feeling one hundred percent relieved that i lasted this far.

"Delivery to evaline winters" the woman says

She looks like she is in her late thirties.

She hands me a clipboard to sign my name so that the package was delivered to me. The whole time I was signing it. I felt like I was signing my death sentence. Because her eyes were staring at me as if she knew what I really was.

She hands me the box and I look at the time its twelve in the morning. Since when have the deliver people delivered that early.

As I look back outside I see no sign that she was actually there. Almost as if she disapered threw the night.

I lay the package on the table and it kept screaming "open me" making me a little hesitant to reveal what lies inside.

I contemplate what's going to be inside. A warning that they're coming after me. Or a bomb. I sure am in for a suprise.

I run a knife threw the side that was taped. I put my knife inside of one of the boxes folds that was tape.

I think to myself "it's now or never"

I open the lid and see little confetti almost as if its a birthday present. I take all of the confetti out and see a smaller box with a note taped on top.

I take off the note and read it

Dear evaline,

Its mommy here remember eight years ago when I died I said "to find a box. The box holds the answers" well I waited till you where older to find it. Because god knows you would forget. I hope you been training still the time has come for you to finish off what I started. Don't disappoint me like you have done ever single day of my life. In the box is a tool to help you find the box. Happy finding

I open tbe box next what I find is a amulet. That is shaped like a shell with a blue stone on the top.

I see another small note

Put it on and where it glows shows you where the box is

I start packing up the things from the crappy old apartment I've been living in for about three weeks and look at the calendar I read the things I need to do today.

I see in big black letter "you're birthday"

I can't believe I forgot my own birthday but no time to celebrate it not like I have celebrated it in the past. To my mom it was just another day not the day where her only child was born.

I grab my cheap calendar and throw it in my bag since I can't have a phone because I might be tracked.

I put everything in my truck and all of a sudden the necklace was glowing. So I did what my mom said I followed the glow to find the box. I don't want to be more of a disappointment then I already am to her.

All of a sudden I get another flashback

"Mommy" I ask
I don't hear her inside

I look in the kitchen and see a note attached to the fridge

Hello evaline mommy has some business to take care of ill be back in a week. Don't forget to train and don't burn down the house either. While im gone.

I set the note down and look in the fridge to see what there is to make for breakfast. We have nothing and that whole day I spend buying food for the house

I snap out of it and pay attention to the glow. The glow will lead to the thing my mother so desperately wants.

I drive never second guessing my mothers decision towards me. I've been driving for three days straight. The glow leads me to a little town call dreangt.

Then im lead to a house. A house in the woods it looks very closed off. As almost if no one has lived here for years or has ever heard of it.

As I pull up to the house my necklace starts glowing like crazy. That's when I figured out this is where the box lies. As I get down I make sure to mask my scent just encase im in someone's else territory. I grab my bags and i sense im being watched so I tuck the necklace in my shirt and pretend I don't notice anyone watching me.

I grab my bags and get the keys to open the door. I take a whiff of what kind of species are there and I smell werewolf. Im not worried because most werewolves are dumb so they can't tell the difference between a species masking there sent.

But for some reason this town feels familiar and I feel like Im meant to do something here almost as if its my destiny.
