chapter 3

Evaline pov (point of view)

As I make my way home I began to feel lonely almost as if my whole life never mounted to anything . but when I look into Cole eyes its as if my life meant something much more with him for just a little bit even if he was a jerk most of the time.

But as soon as he said what he said my heart broke that I was never good enough and I know he is a total stranger I don't know but just once in my whole miserable life I want to feel loved or be good enough for love.

Why am I even thinking about this I should be focusing on making my mother proud since I haven't made her proud more like disappointed when it came to me.

As I make my way into my house I hear a honk coming from the drive way . I walk out seeing my uncle walking up to me.

"Eva my precious baby how are you?" he ask I laugh

"Hi uncle I bought food come inside" I say

"Actually lets go out to eat" he says but all of a sudden Im feeling watched

"Sure uncle I only seen sally's though" I say

"Don't worry I know the perfect place for us to sit and eat" he says

"Alright I will meet you their uncle see you soon" I say

I walk back into my house and use one of my gifts I see who was watching me it was Cole and his friends

"She is so gorgeous and beautiful. She is going to be a perfect Luna Cole. " one of them says

"She is just a human a plain human that's all she will ever be I am a alpha how am I suppose to make her accept us. She is just like ever ordinary girl I need someone special. Let's go eat we have been watching her long enough Im starting to get bored" he finishes saying with a hatred stare

They left and so did I as I drive and use my gift to follow my uncle I get a flashback.

"Evaline have you not learned anything . you can't have friends whatsoever " my mom said

"But mom why?"I ask

"Because you'll never be good enough for them do you understand . Nobody wants a girl like you and if they do they take advantage of you and your gifts" she says

"Mom please people are different their not like that i promise" I say

"Evaline who has been on this earth longer. I know everything and you know nothing . why do you always have to disappoint me. who is going to be their for you?" she ask

"Well hopefully you and someone I love . like you and my dad who fell in love when you made me" i say

"We weren't in love nobody can love you love is weakness and until you accept that you will always disappoint me" she says

As the flash back falls away so do my tears that I had never shed until this moment and all I could say was "nobody will love you because love shows weakness" I finish saying making me want my mother to be happy that I accepted what she said.

I see my uncle at a pizza place and what do I know Cole is in their once again and i think now who is he going to think is the stalker me.

"So Eva what made you decide to come to this town" he asks while we just took our seats luckily for me as far away from Cole as possible.

"Well mother sent me here unfortunately it is going to be more work than I had expected " I said

"Well you know your mother loved you so much and so do I which is why I came your mother has unfinished business yes but why must you finish her work. what do you want Eva? " he ask

"I want my mom to be proud of me and she has rasied me to be like this and I do not want to disappoint her"I say

"Eva this is her dream not yours. You need to start living for yourself I understand you owe her alot but what has she done for you?" he asks

"She has given me life uncle which is something no one else can give. " I finish saying

"You know I will always love you as my own and that I support your decision no matter what you just need to be careful dealing with you mother's unfinished business " he says

"I will uncle always" I say

"Other than that how have you been " he finish asking before we eat

"I couldn't be better " I said but I lied about that . my uncle is the last person left that understands me and supports me and loves me more than anyone else.

"How about you uncle and your family" I ask

As you are thinking yes he has family . that is why he barley checks on me. I am alone in this world and that's exactly what I have been taught to be alone.

"They are great they miss you they wish you would come and visit more " he says sounding hopeful that I will come around

"Yeah I understand one day I will show up and visit them. But for now I must finish what mom started . well it was nice seeing you uncle but I have to go . ill pay for the pizza" I say getting up faster than I had before but for some reason I need to leave.

I walk to the register and pay and run into someone .

"Hey watch where your going " I hear the most horrible voice ever

"Im pretty sure you ran into me " I say

"But what do you know your just a slut who doesn't know her place "I say

"Excuse me" she says

"Well you heard me" I say

"Your dead " she said trying to grab my hair but I slammed her on the floor ready to strike and instantly kill her . I see my tattoos glow and just then my uncle grabbed me and dragged me out while Cole and his friends grab the other girl and are impressed by my sudden reaction .

My uncle puts me in my car and drives off .

"Evaline you need to calm down" he says

But I couldn't hold it in any longer and then all hell breaks loose.
