III

That day, you decided to be nice to Baekhyun for a change, so you treated him at your bakery. You brought him a slice of your best-selling cake and a cup of Americano.

Setting the plate in front of him, you sat across from him, resting your chin on your hands as you watched him take his first bite.

Baekhyun glanced up at you, then paused, putting down his fork. "How am I supposed to eat if you keep staring at me?"

You smiled and waved him off. "Is it good? Come on, just keep eating." You stood up, heading back to the counter to help a customer.

Baekhyun stared after you, wondering what had caused this sudden shift. He figured maybe you had a nice side after all—until he realized how wrong he was.

At the counter, while ringing up an order, you overheard your two staff members giggling nearby.

“He’s so handsome,” said one.

“Right? I can’t believe it,” chimed the other.

Curious, you followed their gaze and realized they were talking about Baekhyun. You turned to them, visibly annoyed.

"Yah! Why aren't you two focusing on your work?" you snapped.

"Sunbae-nim, isn’t that Baekhyun from EXO?" one of them asked.

"Yeah, so?" you replied.

“He’s really handsome,” the second one giggled again.

Leaning in between them, you whispered, “He’s gay.”

“Really?!” they gasped in unison, their faces shocked.

You suppressed a laugh at their reactions. "Well, why don't you go ask him?" you teased.

"No, no! We don’t want to intrude on his personal life," one said nervously.

"Then go back to work,” you ordered, rolling your eyes as they scattered.

Later, you approached Baekhyun again. "Everything okay?" you asked.

He nodded, "Yeah, thanks for inviting me here."

You shrugged casually. "No problem," though you silently chuckled at the gossip you’d started.

Baekhyun gathered his things. "Are you heading anywhere else?"

"Nope. I’ll just stay here and manage the shop," you said.

"Alright, I’ll head back to the company. See you around," he said, getting up to leave.

"Bye," you waved.

Back at the SM Entertainment building, Baekhyun arrived to find the rest of the members already there.

“Oh, where’ve you been?” Kai asked.

“I was at Chanyeol’s sister’s bakery,” Baekhyun replied.

“Really?” they all chimed in, surprised.

"Yeah, she treated me to some cake."

“What’s up with Chanyeol’s bratty sister being so nice?” Chen teased.

Chanyeol, lounging on the couch, shrugged. "She can be nice sometimes."

Chen smirked, "Just a little bit, though," he said, holding up his fingers to show a small gap, and the group burst out laughing.

“Maybe she’s sick,” Kyungsoo suggested, making Chanyeol laugh harder.

“Okay, enough about my sister,” Chanyeol said, waving them off. “Let’s focus on my comeback.”

“Right!” they all cheered, redirecting the conversation.
