I asked God if you were the one for me
but we both know the answer to that, don’t we?
It wasn't the one I thought I'd find.
We’re hopeless planets orbiting around a dying sun,
trying to revive our ravaged hearts with the dimming light.
Tell me you love me.
Even if it wouldn’t make any difference anymore,
even if we’re too jagged to be fit back together,
and we're Hansel and Gretel trying to find our way home
with what breadcrumbs are left.
Try and save me this time, will you?
I’m tired of being the dragon in the stories.
