Listen to the video before you start reading, it's quite an important part.

Days had passed and finally the phone rang! I checked the caller ( just to make sure) and picked up my phone on my bedside table. Lily rushed in and sat on my bed with me.
"Riley, I'm sorry to say we have found no traces of your father. We have no idea where he is. All we know is that he is still alive. I am so sorry sweetheart, we tried our best"
"I-I-I know" my hand was shaking. Lily next to me sensed it wasn't good news: she had an expression on her face I had never seen before- a mix between sadness and guilt. I had know idea why she was guilty.
" thank you for being so understanding."
"N-n-No problem" I placed my phone on the sofa. Sadness overwhelmed me and I burst into a flood of tears. I tried to stop, but I couldn't; the feelings I had were too strong. Debby and her husband came rushing into the room.
"Don't cry, please don't" Debby wrapped me in her arms and placed me on the sofa. She was a very slim lady with chestnut hair, just like Lily's. Her eyes were brown just like dads as well.
I started to calm down a bit after about five minutes of solid crying. My cheeks were tear stained and my hair was all messy and knotty after I made it perfect this morning. I felt so embarrassed. My auntie, uncle and lily had never seen me like that before, though I suppose no one had, not even my dad. I just never cried like that.
Will made me a mug of steaming hot chocolate and he placed it down on the coaster with beige and light blue spots. Lily thought of the perfect way to cheer me up. We looked at Hollie's Instagram. It sure was a good idea because it worked! My tummy felt like it was gonna explode we were laughing so much, I was so out of breath by the end!
It hit me all over again. I held back my tears as much as I could, l think I did pretty well.
I cried myself to sleep that night, clutching my teddy as tight as I could, thinking of all our great memories together. All of our skiing trips, when he was scared of a man dressed in a thick coat, because he thought he was a yeti. Well j suppose the man did creep up on us, and it was Will! I laughed then realised I wouldn't be making those memories again.
I woke up in the middle of the night, needing a drink so bad it was like my whole body was having a drought. It then came all rushing at me. I'm Riley Fletcher. If I want to get things done I do it myself. I then realised, I should be my own detective. I'll look for dad, and I'll do it better than those stupid detectives who probably didn't even try. Ill set off in the morning, I only had five days before half term ended. I needed to find dad quick.

I woke up early and i told Debby I was going to a friends house. I know it was 7 in the morning but me and my 'friend' needed to go swimming early before it got way too crowded. I was actually doing some investigating round the town asking people whether they had seen my dad or not.
Nothing. I got absolutely nothing. No one told me anything apart from, no i havnt seen him, someone must have. I was starting to lose hope, and I had barely started.
