The Pier

This is a Wesley Stromberg one shot for Alice aka xxsnowy09xx! Hope you like it :)

"Come on, it will be worth it Alice! It's only one blind date... If you don't like it, I swear I will never force you to go with me ever again!" Your best friend Kenna said. She was finally going on a date with her crush Kory and he was bringing a friend as well. 

"Fine. But this is the last time." You gave in.

You and Kenna spent the last hour and a half getting ready at her house. As soon as you were done, the door bell rang and you were nervous. She answered the door and Anthony stood, but no one else.

"Don't worry, he is meeting us there. He didn't stand you up if that's what your thinking." You all walked to the door of his car and he opened the car doors for each of you.

"So where are we going?" Kenna asked Kory. She seemed super chill at the moment for someone who was extremely excited just an hour ago.

"It's a surprise. You'll see!" He pulled down the driveway and out to the main street.

He turned a couple streets and it wasn't long before we ended up at the Santa Monica Pier.

"Omg. This is gonna be so fun!" The bright lights from the rides and booths illuminated the dark purple sky.

"Come on. You are about to meet my friend." Kory looked over at me before smiling and getting out of the car. He went to Kenna's side and opened it for her, while you opened the door for yourself.

You all walked over to the pier and Kory pulled his phone out of his pocket, you stood assuming he was texting his 'friend'.

You just looked around at the hustle and bustle of the pier, distracting yourself, until you heard someone greeting Kory and then meeting Kenne.

"Dude what's up!" They bro hugged and then he greeted Loren.

"Nice to meet you Kenna. And you are?" He snapped you from your wandering eyes. 

You turn around to see a guy who had hazel eyes, light brown hair kept, swaying from under a hat, and a cute smile. He was tan and toned and strangely attractive to you. 

"I'm Alice. Nice to meet you." You held your hand out for his in return and he took it, his smile not leaving his lips.

""I wanna go do the bean bag toos and win something for Kenna, we'll meet up with you in a bit?" Kory suggested his eyes dart to Wesley and then to me.

Please don't leave me. I barely know the guy, you thought.

"So, what's your name? I didn't catch it earlier." You said breaking the silence.

"I'm Wesley." He smiled. His eyes left your swiftly as he turned to the milk bottles. "Wanna go play some games for a bit?"

"Sure. That sounds fun." You returned his smile, and he unexpectedly intertwined his hand with yours, dragging you behind him. He handed the man behind the booth a dollar and the man gave him 3 red tossing balls.

In three swift, and carefull throws, Wesley had won.

"What's your choice sir?" The man questioned.

"Hmmmmmm, how about the fluffy panda." He smiled as the man handed it to him. Wesley smiled again and kissed its nose before handing it to you

"This is for you." You two stopped in your tracks and he gave you the bear. It was the sweetest thing any guy had done for you. You didn't care if it was cliche, you were actually enjoying this blind date.

Wesley stopped you guys by the cotton candy and bought one for you to share.

"How about we go walk along the beach? You in?" Wesley asked you. 

"Okay." You reply and head toward the beach. You enjoy the breeze and the sound of the waves hitting shore. He held the cotton candy closer to you so you could take some. You took a small piece savoring the melting candy. You talked endlessly about random things, life, friends, family, and music.

"Okay I'm going to be honest I am having so much more fun than I expected tonight." You admitted, blush tinting your cheeks. Of course since it was dark, he couldn't tell and for that, you were relieved.

"And why is that? You don't like me do you?" He asked, seeming a little disappointed.

"Of course I do! I didn't think I would enjoy a blind date, but I'm glad I was forced this time." You giggle, but Wesley stopped and was a couple feet behind. You realized that what you said set him back and surprised him.

You stop and stand in front of him, smiling.

"Really? You do like me?" He asked, again, surprise written all over his face.

"Yeah." You blushed again as he got closer to you. You smiled up as he peered down at you. He took out his phone and pulled up the keypad, handing it over to you. You put in your contact info and saved it, leaving the kissy face emoji next you your name.

"Perfect." He said ask he dialed quickly at his phone. Seconds later, your phone buzzes in your pocket and you pull it out to see a text with his name in it. 

"Thanks." You smile. 

"You know, I was nervous to talk to you when we met earlier. I really love how down to earth you are. Not many girls are like that. And your cute." He said, doing that cute smile he did earlier.

The wind picked up and some of your hair flew into your face, but Wesley brushed it behind your ear. He caressed your jawline with his hand before he leaned in for a kiss. His lips were inches from yours when you hear voices calling out for you in the distance.

"There you guys are. We were looking for you at the pier but you were nowhere. Kenna thought you'd be out here and she was right." They didn't suspect anything.

"Yeah we just went for a walk. We were just about to come find you guys actually." Wesley said, his hand rubbing the back of his head in slight embarrassment.

You all headed back to the car and Kory opened the door for Kenna before making his way to the drivier's side.

"Just a sec dude, I'm gonna talk to Alice." He informed Kory. Kory smiled and you swear you heard a chuckle. Wesley stopped close to the wall just around the corner from where the car was parked, enough for Kory and Kenna to not see you two.

"I had a great time with you. Would you maybe wanna hang out again? You know, sometime this week maybe? I mean... If you aren't busy." He asked, suddenly a little nervous.

You smiled. He smiled back down at you, his eyes on your lips. You took the signal and your eyes fell onto his lips. A mere inch stood between you before he pulled you close to him and pressed his lips to yours.

He snaked an arm around your waist and rested his hand at the small of your back. Your hands played  with hair and then rested at the nape of his neck.

"I'd love that." You half-whispered in case Kory and Kenna were listening. 

You both walk back and you see the windows roll up quickly. You both laugh at them. Your hand is in Wesley's as you walk to the side of the car. He pulls you into a hug before holding your hand once more.

"I'll call you?" He asks. You nod and smile. He kisses you once more, on the cheek, and he opens the door and shuts it for you.

"OoooOoooOohh. Alice and Wesley." Kenna giggled.

You blushed and just smiled at them. Wesley was nothing but nice and sweet and all around caring. You knew this was the start to a great relationship. One that would last for a long time.
