A friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find but lucky to get.
"So Martin, did you review for the test?", Yui asks him with a playful smile on her face.
"Aa."
"Oh really!, I never thought you would do that. How about you, Patrick?". she asks the other guy.
"Nope I believe that whatever score I will get it's destiny's choice.", he said while laughing at the end of his statement.
"Good for you then. I'm in room C so goodluck with the test! And you two, quit fighting with each other. Ja!", Yui started walking in the direction of his classroom for the test. The other two have the same classroom so they went together in the opposite direction.
Yui entered the claassroom seeing that almost one-half of the class had arrived. She felt relieved that there's a lot of time to talk to other people. A blonde haired girl caught her attention because she's just staring at the sky that can be seen by the open window of the classroom. Yui decided to approach the girl and maybe she could have a quite girl as a friend.
"Hey!", she happily said while flashing a wide grin to the blonde girl.
"Uh...h-huh?", she said slightly shocked.
"I said hey! I thought you will be lonely by yourself so i decided to talk to you. My name is...", she said but the girl beat her to it.
"Y-Yui.. Y-ui Clyne, i-isn't it?", she slowly said.
"Uh.. my name's Yui, how about you?",she said while extending her hand to be shook by the other girl.
The blonde girl shook it and said.
"M-my name is M-mirialia but you can c-call me M-meer if you w-want to.", and a blush on her cheeks appeared and Yui smiled because of this.
Yui can tell that Meer is a shy girl, to blush like that when you want to be called by your nickname and to stutter like thatt is quite interesting for Yui.
"Can I sit beside you?", Yui asks.
"O-of course, y-you can," she said.
"So how did you know me?", Yui asks with her hands folded below her chin.
"Y-you are quite f-famous here in s-school and I really a-admire you.", she said and yet again another blush forms in her cheeks.
"Heh, really? You know i really don't like being famous and all because I want other people to acknowledge for who I am and what I am capable of.", she honestly revealed to the girl her feelings.
" I-I see... I-it must... I-it must have been... hard on you.", she said while glancing Yui.
"You think so?", she asks.
"Y-yes... I-I don't know your f-feelings but I can u-understand them.", she said then offers a weak smile.
"Thanks for understanding. So do you have someone to accompany you to lunch?", she asks with hopeful tone in her voice.
"N-no I really don't go with... anyone.", she embarrassedly said.
"Good , you can go with me and meet my friends.", she clapped her hands because of excitement.
They finished their mock test and Yui stretched her arms and legs then glanced at Meer who was beside her.
"So Meer, are you ready?", she asks.
"D-do you really think s-should go w-with you?", she asks.
"Of course! you can also have other friends but I don't raelly have a lot of friends so you won't have much."
"Come on, let's go!", Yui said.
Yui grabbed the hand of Meer and left their claassroom and went straight to the garden. There she already saw two figures waiting patiently to their late member and each of them have food in his hand.
"Hey guys! I will introduce you to someone! Come on Meer! Quit hiding, they won't bite you.", she said.
Meer emerged with her head low and walking in a snail like pace.
"Patrick, Martin! This is Mirialia but you can call her Meer! and Meer, this is Patrick and Martin, my two annoying friends.", she introduced.
"Hi!", Patrick said.
"Hn."
Meer slowly raised hear head and glanced at the two boys but her eyes widened when she turned her gaze to Martin and a pink blush formed in her cheeks and she quickly averted her eyes away from him.
Yui was confused about the reaction of Meer and just dedcided to forget it.
"You two! be nice, Meer's a delicate and shy girl and you are also her friends now. We should protect her like her siblings, understood?", she said.
"Yeah, whatever.", Martin said with a snug look on his face.
Meer frowned because of his reaction.
The four of them sat together under a mango tree and ate their lunch but then Patrik decided to ask Meer about herself.
"So tell us about yourself.", he said.
"W-well I don't have a lot of f-friends. I l-live with my p-parents and my s-sister and I'm in class 2-D.", she said.
"I see."
"So you have a sister, I don't have any so can I see her sometime?, ne Meer?", she asks.
"O-of course, Y-yui.", Meer said with a pure smile on her face.
"S-she really l-likes you, y-you know. M-mai's a fan of yours."she said.
"Really? Does she also plays baseball? How old is she?", she excitedly asks.
"N-no... s-she's a s-softball player and s-she's only 12."she said.
"So you are 4 years older than you?"
"Y-yes.", she said.
"We better go back before the bell rang." Martin said and extend his hand for Yui to grab it so that she can stand.
Meer glanced from the corner of her eyes but then Patrick did the same thing to Meer and she's reluctant if she will accept it.
"Go on, Meer, Patrick will not molest you.", she jokes.
Meer accepts it and she heard that Yui and Martin are chuckling.
"Quit laughing you two!", Patrick embarrassedly said.
"Bye guys!", Yui said and Meer just bowed to the two departing boys .
"So how are they?", she asks.
"I-I think t-they're good g-guys.", Meer said.
"Yes, when you will get to know them you will be comfortable with them."
After that, Yui's face became serious and she look staright into Meer's dark brown eyesand quitely asks.
"Meer, do you like.......Martin?
