Chapter 4- Jaden Holloway

Lucy's POV:

As soon as I got in the house my parents are busy, as always. I think they were in a meeting with someone in their home offices. So I just go upstairs and wait by my phone for Jack to call. I did my homework and it's been an hour later. He didn't call. Now, I'm not very knowledgeable about boy stuff so I decided to wait another hour. But then, my parents called me downstairs. "Lucille!"my father called.

"Yes father?" I replied, walking down the stairs. As I walked I saw my mom and dad cheerfully standing next to this tall unusually handsome young guy. The first thing I noticed were his brown eyes, who stood out against his fair, slightly brown skin. My parents formally introduced him as Jaden Holloway, of Holloway enterprise. He's turning 17 soon and he wants me to be his date at his birthday ball. "Um, that's very charming Mr.Holloway but-" I started but he interrupted me with,"Please, call me Jaden, and then kissed my hand." This has been done multiple times before, I understand it's just the things gentlemen do here but when he did it, I melted inside. Of course there was no need of accepting or denying his invitation, my dad already said I was going. And in that moment, Jack disappeared from my memory until...the phone rang.

Jack's POV:

As soon as I got home, nobody was there except a list of chores to do. I did them all and took a shower then debated on whether to call Lucy or do my homework. I decided to do both at the same time but I couldn't find her number! I freaked out, frantically looking everywhere, for that stupid piece of paper. By the time the house was destroyed, I remembered that I left it in my pocket. So I had to clean everything else up again and didn't get to call her until 3 hours later. I think she was busy at a family dinner because her butler or someone answered and said that she was at a very important dinner. So,after all of that work I just slumped in my bed and went to sleep. I never did my homework that night.

Lucy's POV:

My butler, pulled me over to the side during our dinner with Jaden and mentioned that a boy named Jack called. I've been waiting for him to call all day, what happened to him? It didn't matter, I'd just have to speak to him at school tomorrow. "Lucille, darling, come in here and listen to the hilarious joke Jaden told us," my mother called and with that I told Wheatherbee to tell Jack I'd call him another time but I was busy now.
