Jack's POV
Darren and the other guys approached me laughing. "Dude, there's no way you have a chance with her so back off," Darren said putting his hand on my shoulder. I shrugged his arm off. "Fuck off, D," I said, kind of annoyed. He might be right, but I'll definitely try for her. I thought as I walked off. "Look man, I'm not tryna shade on your game or nothing but that girl's rich, and cute and like I said, she's a goody goody girl, you don't want noone like her," He said and I glared at him. "Look man, come with me to this party tonight, I'll show you how real shorty's get down. Pick you up at 8," he dabbed me and him and his crew walked off.
I had no intentions of going to his party, not after how he disrespected Lucy. Maybe she's good, theres nothing wrong with that. I never liked those hoes anyway. I like how intellectual Lucy is like she has a head on her shoulders. When I got home, I went to my room, rocked out to some music, then read a book. It was one I saw Lucy reading a few weeks ago, it seemed very interesting even though I never read a book in my life unless it was for school.
Lucy's POV:
When I got home, my first objective was to call Jack to make up for yesterday, even before I did my homework. However, as soon as I opened the door, my mother rushed me to my room to get dressed 'prim and proper' to go to dinner with Jaden. I hate when my parents do this. They see a big business opportunity and make me do the craziest things to please a new customer or partnership. My mom ran in my room in the middle of me changing. "Lucille, hurry! He'll be here soon!"
"Mom!" I screamed, " I'm changing! Why do I have to go anyway, I don't like the guy," I half-lied. I didn't like him, but I did think he was cute, and blushed whenever he was close or we simply made eye contact. "Lucille darling, listen," my mom said softly as she took my hand and we sat on the bed,"Do you like being rich?" "Well ive never been anything but rich so I'm not sure. If being rich requires me to do things I don't want to and not have a shred of my own personal freedom then no," I sharply replied, throwing on my black dress. "Where did you get that from?!" My mom asked, looking at me in horror like I was some goth maniac. "Remember that black and white gala a few months ago? I shortened the dress," I said as I threw on a Jean jacket and ruffled my hair out so it hang loosely upon my shoulders.
After getting dressed, I looked in the mirror. It didn't look like me, but it looked so much like me. My mom stared at me in horror."Lucille Abrader!!! Take that off right this instance!"my mom exclaimed. I ignored her and walked out. When I approached the stairs, there was Jaden in a dark gray suit and blue tie. Handsome as always. He stared at me without a shred of discontent. He smiled and stretched out his hand towards me. "Lucille, you look beautiful as always," he said taking my hand as I reached the bottom of the stairs. My dad gave me that same horrified look that my mother gave me. "L-Lucille darling, w-what are you wearing?" My dad asked me, practically speechless. "Clothes," I replied, and then we left.
Dark Heart: I know I need to update, I'll make more chapters soon, like this weekend or so I'll update on both my stories. Thanks for reading, until next chapter, bye!
