Forbidden Love

Chapter 5- The first promise.

Jack's POV:

Golden hair like the sun...blue eyes like the ocean... smile that can light up a room... Lily... you're so beautiful... please be mine...

I woke up to find myself late for school...again. I didn't feel like going to school. Lucy didn't answer yesterday. Maybe she told her Butler to tell me she was busy when really she just changed her mind about me calling her. What if she talks about me at school to everyone. 'Hey so that loser Jack tried to call me yesterday, like he'll ever have a chance with me, ha!' I sighed. "No, Lucy wouldn't say that," I mumbled before going back to sleep.

Lucy's POV:

Jack wasn't at school today. I didn't get to properly apologize for not answering the phone yesterday. I had to have that dinner for my family's name and for the company. I sighed thinking about the dinner last night.

I clutched the diamond necklace Jaden gave me before he left. "Thank you for agreeing to come to my party. I can't wait to see you there," he said handing me the box and kissing my hand as he did. I looked too see a beautiful small necklace with a diamond as the pendant. He carefully put it on me and I bowed in thanks.

Feeling him that close to me made me melt inside. Jaden is so charming. I really like his curly hair. I completely forgot about Jack when Jaden crossed my mind, and thinking of Jaden distracted me from Jean's mindless flirting in class. Soon the school day was over.

Jack's POV:

I decided to be up at the school by the time it was over to talk to Lucy. I needed to know if she was even interested in talking to me. I mean we could at least be friends right? As soon as I got there I see her coming out of the building. She had her hair in a curly ponytail today. That's new. Usually her hair is down. As I walked towards her I also noticed a diamond necklace. Is it new? She probably has dozens at home for her to wear it to school it must be new. Wait...what if it's from a boyfriend?! I panicked and stopped unknowing that Lucy was already standing in front of me.

Lucy's POV:

I saw Jack show up to the school. He must have been sick this time because he had signs of distress and exhaustion on his face. But why was he here now? It didn't matter I needed to apologize for not coming to the phone. So I walked up to him but it took a moment before he noticed me.

"Um...hello Jack," I said. Why was I so nervous? I guess I'm a little worried he'll be mad at me. "Lucy! H-hey how's it g-going?"he said, seeming to be nervous as well. But then again he always seems nervous when talking to me. Peculiar... "So Jack, I wanted to apologize about yesterday. I was in a very important dinner for my family's company. I hope you can forgive me...," I said looking down before he suddenly hugged me.

Jack's POV:

So she wasn't making a mockery of me, I'm glad. I don't know what came over me but I suddenly just hugged her. She smelled like peaches and vanilla. I gave her my number and she promised to call me later on. That was a good ending to a great day but then I saw Darren and the others walk over to me after Lucy got into her limo.
