"Ella!" I screamed. "I'm sorry. It just happened, I have no feelings for Rose at all; please Ella!"
"Sorry doesn't cut it Jaxon, where over; forever!" She yelled at me and ran off crying.
I knew I had made a mistake. I knew that something like this couldn't be forgiven; and I knew that there was no point in chasing after her.
My head thumped. What had I done. This was the biggest worst mistake I had made ever. I loved Ella, and I had just broken her heart.

I stayed locked in my room the next day and only came out once to eat some ice cream. Sitting on my bed, I watched the sun rise and then it slowly move across the sky until it finally disappeared behind the forest. During this time all I could think about was how guilty and sad I was. Ella and I were over forever and I knew it.
I got off my bed and walked outside. It was 2:00 am so leaving the dorms this early was against the school rules but honestly I didn't care. I closed my eyes and felt magic flow through me into my hand; I summoned a Ice crystal that shown a dim light across the dark landscape.
Slowly I made my way through the forest and finally came to the waterfall. I sat underneath the willow tree, which was the only dry spot from the fresh fallen snow. Snow lined the cliff surrounding half the pond but the water fall was still tumbling down into the half covered lake.
I reached over to the lake and touched my hand on the surface of the water. Closing my eyes I imagined the lake and the waterfall freezing over. I opened my eyes in time to see Ice crawling across the water and climbing up the waterfall. I sat back down and fell asleep.

My eyes opened. I was floating in complete lightness.
"Jaxon." I heard a silky voice say.
"Who are you?" I trembled.
"I am Light." Said the voice.
"What? How? You're dead." I questioned.
"Just because I was killed doesn't mean I'm gone." Light Answered.
I didn't know what to say to that. Why had she contacted me of all people?
"I contacted you because I needed to tell you something..." Light said.
"What... How did you..." I stammered.
"I can read thoughts." She said calmly. "But anyways to the point. My husband is gaining power again, and he is stronger then ever."
Darkness was back? This wasn't good.
"Anything else?" I asked.
"Yes." Light said. "You are there leader."
And with that I awoke to the sun shining in my eyes.
I stayed huddled under the tree till 8:00 o' clock. Once it reached 8:00 I got up and walked to the school for breakfast. Today was the last day most people would be at the academy for the next two weeks. The only people I knew who weren't going home were Aira, Denen, and Brennen.
As I sat down at my normal table with James, Elise, and Sarah I couldn't help but sneak a glance at Ella's table. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying and her hair was in a mess. I couldn't stand seeing her like this, but then I remembered it was my fault.
Because it was a special day we would be magically served by invisible Air Pixies. A bell rung and everyone in the cafeteria looked up at the front of the room.
