Your teachers were more supportive than your parents. That's not how it's supposed to go. You need to know something. They (mom and dad) always loved you. You worried that they wouldn't love me but they do. Mom definitely got it first. It was pretty fantastic. Eventually, people couldn't keep calling me your name and pronouns. I passed to well to fit as a woman. That was your dream all along, to really be a man. You weren't one in your eyes at that point. I am now. I am a man. I promise you will be. My name was so obvious that it was nearly impossible to avoid. I got to graduate middle school with my chosen name and high school as a boy. Things will change. It starts with your name.
