Nothing exciting really happens in this chapter, sorry dudez.
Liz didn't come home till the next morning, stumbling in with her clothes in hand and basketball shorts and a large shirt on her body.
"Fun night?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Very."
The weather was only getting colder so I decided to stay home today.
I picked out an easel and moved it to the living room, taking with me an empty canvas. I walked back to my room retrieving paint and brushes and setting them down in the little station I created for myself.
Lizzy didn't make an appearance for the rest of the morning.
Soft music played throughout the living room as I moved a brush against the white material.
I frequently stared at the window near me, watching cars speed by or people walking their dogs that wore thick vests making them look like chunky sausages walking around.
My attention wouldn't stop drifting away from what I was doing but I forced myself to keep painting.
In an hour I had the canvas painted red that faded into yellow. My mind scrabbled for what else to do, with no luck I completely abandoned the canvas. Cleaning my mock station and putting everything back in its place, I threw myself back in bed.
My phone had no new text messages except one from my mom asking me if I was coming down to visit during Thanksgiving, since I was missing out on Halloween.
Thinking about going home was the last thing I wanted to do. Thankfully I had three weeks to figure out what I wanted to do.
Then there was Halloween. Lizzy made plans with a few friends to go to their party but I wasn't so sure if I was going. Last year Halloween was a nightmare, I got way too drunk and almost arrested since the cops came and we were all underage.
I assured my mom I would think about traveling there to visit.
In the mean time, I decided to waste away the day watching sappy love movies. The first on my list was Stuck In Love, which I actually adored.
Lizzy came out of her room halfway through the movie and began rambling, forcing me to pause it.
"How was it?" I asked and she automatically knew what I was talking about, she titled her head back and let out a relieved breath.
"Amazing. He's amazing."
"I'm happy for you Liz." I genuinely was, Lizzy spent most of the past three years gawking over guys and wishing she could be in a stable relationship. Even though she's only known this guy for a short time I knew she was enjoying spending time with him.
"He made me dinner and then took me to his roo-"
"Stop, oh my god." I covered her mouth with my hand and she licked my palm.
"He was very good." She winked and jumped off the couch walking over into the kitchen. "How are you and that guy?"
"Not so good," I followed her and took a seat at the island counter. "We had this awesome night and then he told me he wasn't looking to date anyone." I sighed. "I jus thought that a guy that shows up to your house and then asks you to go skating with him then get pizza, would at least like the girl."
"I thought you disliked him though?" She looked confused.
"I did- I do. I honestly don't know." I covered my face with my hands.
Lizzy and I finished the movie and a big bag of chips together. We spent the rest of the day crossing off movies from my sappy romantic movie list and eating way too many calories.
By the time I checked the clock it was midnight and Liz was knocked out on the other end of the couch. I left her sleeping peacefully and made my way to my room.
I checked my phone again to find a few text from my mom, and one from Harry.
In my tired state I opened the text and lazily read it.
*Sweet dreams*
