With a single shot Mr. Schnee fell lifeless to the ground. However, his shooter wasn't done and fired several times until the click of an empty magazine was heard, soon followed by the drop of said gun.

What stood before Qrow was a shaking Weiss, in shock at what she had done. She had just killed her father, the head of the Schnee Dust Company.

"Q-Qrow.....I-I had no choice. I had to do it. Not just for me, but for everyone who suffered under him."

Weiss was trembling. Trembling in a similar way to how she would when her father would hit her, or shout.

"Weiss, where's Winter?"

"Winter? She's upstairs. She's still unconscious."

Weiss just stood still.

"We'll talk about this later. For now, take me to her. Once Winter regains herself, we can settle all this, especially with the authorities."

Weiss took a breath and sighed. Qrow's words calmed her down, even though he mentioned "authorities". She would await her future, yet unknown to her, Qrow already built a plan.

As he exited the lower floors and made his way through the Scheme mansion. Nothing had changed in the past few hours, except for broken mirrors and family portraits, those with Mr. Schnees face had been sratched off to the point of where his face was no longer visible to eye recognition.

"What did he do to them? His own daughters. His own blood."

Though Qrow was aware of the abuse, he still pondered on it. Weiss' brave front showed that although Winter was the eldest, Weiss received a majority of the abuse, and until currently Winter did. How long would it take to mentally rehab the two, he didn't know. But it would be something he would help them with.

Sure, at times the daughters annoyed him, but he did care for the two, and what attracted him to Winter was unknown. The same went for Winter with Qrow. At that moment, Winter had awoken and sat outside the room she had been locked in with Weiss. She seemed calmer, but was sweating from being nervous.

As Qrow and Weiss approached her, Winter flinched as she saw them. She was still seen to be nervous. Stopping Weiss, he whispered.

"Slowly. She's still shaken up from the looks of it."

Weiss nodded in response and took slow steps. Qrow did the same and got down on his knees in front of her, and Weiss on the side. Gesturing her to go first, Weiss slowly reached out a hand and lightly placed it on Winter in a comforting notion. Winter jumped, but remained in place, still dazed. Next, Qrow gestured similarly. After minutes of trying, Winter calmed down and leaped onto both of them in a tight hug, crying once again, but this time, they were almost tears of joy.

"W-where is he? What happened? Why are you bleeding Qrow?"

Winter asked frantically.

"Winter, sister, calm down. We'll answer all your questions, but we got to do something about your bruises too. You know Qrow is tougher than to let his injuries bother him.

Qrow nodded in response, and with Weiss' help, got Winter to her feet and helped her to the bathroom, where Weiss took care of cleaning Winter's injuries, cleaning them and bandaging her right arm.

"Weiss, what happened downstairs?"

Weiss didn't answer. She simply downed her head as she finished.

"Weiss, tell me. Please."

Taking a deep breath, she swallowed in and spoke.

"Father......is dead."
