"what!?" they both exclaimed in unison. mrs.jeon looked at them "we have to do this for our companies, and besides, you both are at the appropriate age for marriage" she said. 

Jungkook exhaled angrily, while Ji eun was still trying to process what was going on

"we will be going now, jungkook-ah, please stay with ji eun and drive her home" mr.jeon said. "ne, aboji" jungkook replied. ji eun and jungkook bowed to the elders as they left. he turned around and looked at her.

"from all the girls in this country, i have to marry you!?" he said and ruffled his hair in frustration. "its not like i'm happy about it either" ji eun said and rolled her eyes at him. jungkook began walking away. she widen her eyes"yah! where are you going?".

"what? you want me to stay with you?" he asked smirking. she gave him a disgusted look and sighed.

jungkook drove ji eun back to her house and left. she entered the mansion and went to her room, then plopped on her bed.

ji eun woke up and went downstairs to have breakfast made by the maids.

While she was eating, her phone suddenly rang. She looked at the caller's ID and saw that it was Mrs.jeon.

She nervously accepted the call and held the phone up to her ears."Ne, eommonim?".

Jungkook was working in his office when the door opened, revealing his secretary park sooyeon.

Park sooyeon was jungkook's childhood friend who had a crush on him ever since. She confessed to him more than once but he rejected her after he saw how flirty and clingy she was.

"Jungkook-ssi your father wants you to leave work early today" she said then left the room after bowing.

Jungkook left the office and went to his car, after that He drove back home.

He knocked rang the bell outside the gates and After less than a minute, butler jang opened the huge mansion's gates and bowed respectfully, greeting him. Jungkook nodded and made his way to the indoors.

"Jungkook-ah! Your finally here, we invited Ji eun for dinner"mrs.jeon said as she ran towards him. He sighed and nodded.

Jungkook walked up to his room to change. After he was done, he went downstairs. And to his surprise, he saw sooyeon.

"What are you doing here?!"he shout-whispered. she looked at him and pouted, "oppa, i wanted to see you..".

He massaged his temples and sighed, then dragged her to the backyard.

"Sooyeon, !"

"Oppa, I came here to cancel the wedding"she said with a serious look on her face. He looked at her shocked and confused at the same time."i can't stand seeing you with Ji eun when you both get married"she continued.

"I'm sorry sooyeon, my parents picked her for me so I must accept their decision".

"How can you just accept marrying someone you don't love or have feelings for?!"she shouted, her eyes slightly becoming teary.

He scoffed, "Love? feelings? Those things only happen in fairytales, they don't exist" he said and walked back inside, bumping into a speechless sooyeon.
