chapter twelve

"How can you do such a thing?! The whole population of south korea now knows about this!"

I stared at the ground as my mother scolded me, while my brother was just staring at me in both sympathy and confusion.

"Mother, please calm down..I'll try closing the news sources,  I'll do something" Seokjin said while guesturing for me to leave.

She massaged her temples trying to calm her anger, her face coloured blood red by now.

I took a step closer to the front door attempting to leave the mansion when mother's words made me freeze in my place.

"Stay here, with your brother and I until the news cool down and.. don't leave the mansion by then"

I turn around facing her with a confused yet shocked expression.

"But mother! It's not a big deal, what's wrong with the daughter of one of the most famous companies in South Korea participating in a cake eating contest?!" I argued.

Well done Ji eun, what a stupid explanation. Literally, my whole reputation is ruined.

I don't mind staying at my 'old' house but, what about Jungkook? Who's going to cook for him? Do his laundry? Arrange his clothes?

Wait, why do I even care about what happens to him and his stupid ass.

Seriously, I'm so weak.

I let him go out with different women every night and let him treat me as if  I'm his maid and at the end I still care for him.

"It's final, you don't need to bring anything. Just call Jungkook and explain the situation to him." She ordered.

I nodded and walked upstairs to my old room. I opened the door, staring at the room which looked as if it was haunted.

I grabbed my phone and decided to text Jungkook and explain everything.

-hi Jungkook, this is me ji eun.. I'm going to stay at our mansion for a while. you probably heard the news.. I'm really sorry But I hope you understand. Thanks.

I sent the message and threw my phone across the bed.

Why is the media and reputation really important in our world. Like why can't everyone do whatever they like without getting criticized over the simplest thing they do.

I sigh thinking about the events of today, suddenly the scene that happened this morning with Jungkook made me wonder,

What is he hiding? morover what is his story that makes me so curious?
