Chapter 16

School ended and Chase was holding my waist as i walked out of the building. The whole day he was so sweet and sent me good texts every now and then of the day to see if im okay. Gail and Ari were still at my side even at lunch. Ari was blabbering about homecoming dresses and Gail kept looking at her like every girl should be looked at. It was such a beautiful OTP.

Chase, i really trusted Chase as we both walked to my house. We talked about random things like dogs and his obession with his ps4. I talked more about the english project that was due in a few weeks and he agreed to do a headstart with me.

Gladly, mom took a day off today so i could tell all about what happened. Ethan didnt have to babysit Jace since mom was home so he didnt come. Which is good ya know? Seeing your ex looking at you and your new bae is kinda awkward.

"We are finally here!" I joyfully said.

"Damn you house is so big! its like doubled the size of my house!" He grinned.

"I can finally hop on the couch and sleep in." i laughed as i opened the keys to the front door.

As i opened the front door Jace ran hugging my legs.
"Hey honey! Hey Chase."

Wait how the fuck does she know hes Chase? oh shit.

"Uh hey mrs alana. Its nice to meet you."

"Hello Chase (pic above)" She smiled.
She then turned to me and mouthed 'i read your texts' and winked.

"Yeah we are gonna do homework in the kitchen." I grabbed Chase's hand a ran.

7:30 pm

"I really had a fun amazing time studying with you." He laughed.

"Yeah after you shoved icecream in my face." I laughed even harder.

He closed his books and started to pack his stuff into his bag.

"You're leaving?" I asked with puppy eyes.

"You want me to stay?"

i nodded.

"Im fine with that. My parents dont get hine until 11."

The doorbell rang soon after he finished his sentence. "Ill get that. It must be the pizza i ordered for dinner." i walked to the front door.

I took the money from the counter for the pizza and opened the door. It wasnt the pizza guy. It was Ethan.

"Uhm hey." He blushed.

"You arent the pizza guy." I said.

"Can i come in?" He asked.

I allowed him in.

He closed the door behind us. "So what brings you here?" I lead him into the kitchen.

"To see how you guys are."

"Ethan, you had a day off to not wory about anything. Whats the problem?"

"You guys are like my other family. Like my family isnt that close anymore cause, uhm, my uh...."

I looked him straight into the eye before we walked into the kitchen.

"my dad died from a heart attack. my mom locked herself in her room."

"Im so sorry."

"Dont worry about it, it was like 2 years ago."

Ethan hopped onto the couch.
"Wheres the piazaa?" Chase laughed.

"Piaza, well it wasnt the piaza guy."

"Who was it then?"

"Ethan."

10 pm.

"Im gonna go. Thanks for the help and piazza. Tell your mom i said thank you." Chase said hugging me.

"Youre gonna walk?"

"Yeah. but its okay."

"I got my drivers license a few days ago so I'll drive you back."

"Okay."

Ethan was so focused on Friends episode on Netflix. I guess he also didnt know i left without him knowing. but, ofcourse my mom knows.

I drove him to his house which was really really big too. I dont knownwhy he said mine was doubled the size.

"Boi your house is damn huge."

"It really isnt. But thanks for the ride home."

"No probelm" He got up.

"Wait..." I held back his hand.

"mhmm?"

"What's our theme color for homecoming?"

"Any color you like and you can just text me."

"Okay, bye Chase !"  i waved.

Stop in his tracks and turned back around with a huge smile on his face.

"I almost forgot something." He said as he walked closer to me.

He gently pushed back my hair behind the ear and lifted my chin up. We both locked our eyes not moving a muscle.
He slowly hugged my waist which he used to pull me closer into his arms. This feeling I had was really different. I felt safe in his arms. I couldnt urge to step back because of this mysterious moves Chase were doing which made me just freeze and look at his actions. He took both my hands and held it in his hand and started swaying around like a waltz. I grinned and smirked at his face causei thought to would be something other than that.

"Just practicing a slow dance." He laughed.

I rested my head on his chest we swayed and danced and its felt like time was no use.

He spun me around and hugged me to end our little ballroom dance. Again he looked into my eyes amd smiled. He leaned in to kiss me and simutaneously i leaned in to and he kissed my forehead.

"See you tomorrow Victoria."

Chase's POV

I flopped onto my bed and looked at the celing for the longest time. God damn Vicki is so different yet so beautiful and amazing at the same time.

"I saw you guys dancing and it was adorable." Mom opened the door with a smile.

I quickly jumped into reality and almost fell off the bed. Mom chuckled and sat on the side.

"Vicki is a really nice girl." She kept smiling.

"Howd you know?" I asked nervously.

"Me and her mother work together" She laughed.

"oh thank god, i thought you stalked me again."

"Homecoming is the best time to ask her out."

"Nah, I want to ask her out when we go to Paris for our senior trip."

"Even better."
