Chapter 8 ~ The show!

"You're a dork." 

Mettaton smirked. Flashing his teeth.

"I've said it before, that won't work on me." I teased him.

"Hahaha. You never said a word about that, you just gave me a look," He laughed, It was almost as if the laugh was staged...maybe because It was.

"Well It was nice meeting you Mettaton, can't wait to watch your show." Kaden grinned and held out his hand for a handshake.

"As was meeting you. Can't wait to see you and (Y/N) in the audience." He replied shaking Kaden's hand firmly.

Kaden and I looked around the first row and sat down.

"That was a strong handshake." Kaden said to me after we had sat down, he was holding his own hand in awe.

"What do you expect? He's made of Metal and Magic." I told him. 

"Yeah, yeah. He's a robot that even makes boys stutter and faint. But...does he feel is what i'm wondering..." Kaden began hypothesising. "If he's a robot then surely he can't feel."

"Alphys built him with a soul...doesn't that mean he can feel? Or what do you even mean Kaden? Please explain." I felt a slither of disappointment poke me in the chest.

"I mean, like you imagine most robots, they can't feel. But the soul part...now that's interesting...I wonder if I can maybe meet Alphys..." He looked at me with a pout on his face.

"Ughh..." I sighed, "Fine. She'll be here, she did build him after all. She needs to make sure her creation is in tip top shape."

The show had begun with a snap and a bang. Lights here there everywhere. There was everyone I knew from the dinner night, plus a ghost. He looked kind of down.

I was sitting next to Alphys, luckily enough. 

"(Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/-" I cut off Kaden and swapped seats with him. 

"Hey Alphys." I said.

"O-oh. Hey (Y/N)" She replied.

"This is Kaden, he's really interested in your work." I said.

"Nice to meetcha" He said.

"O-oh. Nice to m-meet you Kaden." Alphys replied.

They were chatting when I heard Mettaton break through the little barrier of talking we had made.

"So. (Y/N) Darling...Would you care to take part this evening?" He said holding a hand out toward me, his other hand was holding a microphone.

"Y-yeah" I replied. My nerves tingled impatiently. I was on live TV, this was similar to torture, but It was Mettaton, He made it better.

He pulled me up onto the stage and practically dragged me across it. I sat in a seat where i could clearly see the television.

"So, we're going to play a quiz game." He stated. The audience cheered, what an original reaction.

"Question One: Who is the Monsters' Ambassador?

A: Me

B: Tall, rather pale and handsome over there - He pointed to Papyrus

C: Frisk

D: Asgore "

Papyrus let out a small 'NYEH HEH HEH'.

"Um...C:Frisk" I said.

"Well done! Round of applause!" He stated.

"Question Two: How many forms do I have?

A: 2

B: 3

C: 4

D: 5"  While he said the question i thought i saw sweat drip down his forehead. Nah, Robots can't sweat...or can they?

"B: 3" I stated confidently.

"Wrong!" He said. 

"Wha-" I started but he cut me off.

"Question Three: Would you smooch a ghost?

A: Heck yeah

B: Heck yeah

C: Heck yeah

D: Hell yes" The ghost in the corner that i had spotted had turned transparent...i think

"Um......well it depends on the ghost, if they're nice and all then sure but that's a rather specific question isn't it?"

"Well let me rephrase..." He had a devilish smirk plastered on his face now.

"Would you smooch a robot?" He asked.

"uuuuuhhhh...." I felt my cheeks heat up a little bit.

"Well that's all for today beauties and gentlebeauties! thanks for watching~" He smiled and waved to the audience.

He turned to me and gave a weak smile that differed from his usual happy and devil grins.

"Sorry...i put you on the spot there..." He whispered.

I weakly smiled back. "It's.....fine"
