A SOCIETY OF RULERS UNITED behind a powerful kingdom has been the way their civilization always functioned; it is an overwhelming privilege and an inevitable curse, this weight of the balance on their delicate infrastructure.

Prince Nolan Dallas shoulders enough mass to realize a crown does not make a future king.

There is a sense of duty dwelling deeper than his tailored fabric, instilled into the seams of his royal crest, found in the ebony veins of his heart, and the cerulean grazes of his palms.

It is the loyalty in his blood singing the sailors of enmity to their doom, the believers to his throne, effective in harmonizing with the kingdom. Prince Nolan has the blood of riches, mortal as man with a fraction of ichor can ever be.

Unfortunately, the crest emboldened into the flesh of his skeleton frays strings at the edges, and he cannot find its needle and threat to embroider a newer quilt of adventures story tellers never could put to justice with words.

But he has a mind of diamonds, eyes of emeralds, and blood of rubies to offer otherwise.

This war is not his to save nor his to rescue, but Prince Nolan (programming thoughts and machined wings) is just a genius stuck in the body of a saviour. He has exchanged his throne for his dignity, his crown for his pride, and his crest to the dragon he has ultimately been entwined with. He is all of everything, and he will become the king he'd been destined to be.

And in this war—of wrong identities and unorthodox plots—it is not difficult for him to admit that if he cannot be the one to wield the sword, he can learn to step down and document a new history instead.
