"Derek!" I yelled cheerfully before I jumped on his back. My jeans and black buckled boots with a pink floral tank top was my outfit today. Derek wore some khaki shorts and a black graphic tee with black vans. "Nikkkkki!" He yelled back. He then walked us to his car since we just finished the school day. "How was your day?" He asked seeming genuinely interested. "Eh the same old. Claire and Stacy talking about how since I'm popular and hot then I should date the hottest guy, Brandon" I said. "Please don't date him! I mean he's the biggest player in the school!" Derek said. "Don't worry! I won't. So how was your day, Mister?" I asked happily. "Good, better now that your here" he said, which was very cheesy. "Pineapple!" I yelled since I started to think of cheese. Derek shook his head and laughed. We soon left the school in Derek's 1967 Black Impala. Derek then drove us to Bethany's Bar and Grill, the place sounded familiar but I quickly shook the idea out. We hurried in and sat in a booth. I saw some people a booth away from us and I could tell that they didn't seem too happy, which is a crime in my mind! Yup, I've got a law in my head. One, never be unhappy. Two, never wear yellow. Three, never say the word train. Four, never watch cop shows. Those are my laws. I nudged Derek and pointed at the unhappy family. "Nikki, don't interrupt their unhappiness. Some people need to feel unhappy before they feel better and also our food is here" Derek said smiling a little. "I love your kind personality" he mumbled before digging into eating his cheeseburger. I kicked the leg that was across from me and grinned evilly. "Ow! Nikki!!" Derek yelled which had everyone looking at us. I shrugged my shoulders faking worry and innocence. The unhappy family froze a little at the name before turning around to look at Derek and me. "Derek! Stop faking your own pain!" I fake scolded loud enough for everyone to hear. I giggled a bit but immediately stopped by the playful glare that Derek sent me. "I'm gonna get you" he said smirking. He then flung fries at my hair and face. I caught a few in my mouth which made the both of us laugh. I then looked behind Derek to see the unhappy family looking at me with disbelief. I raised an eyebrow, questionably at them. They looked sort of more happy now. They then started to whisper before getting up and walking to us. "You look familiar" A guy that seemed a little bit older than me said. "Do I? I don't remember anything from my past so I couldn't really say the same" I said cheerfully at the beginning. "Nikki? You sure it's good to talk to these strangers?" Derek whispered which made the family look mad but I don't know why, it's not like they could hear. Derek was too quiet that I barely heard him. I nodded in response. "So what's your names?" I asked happily. "I'm Sarah, this is my twin Kevin, and my father James" the girl said. "Hmm. I'm Nikki Sanders and this is Derek Smi-" I was then cut off by Derek's hand that covered my mouth. "That's a similar name to my sister, her name was Nicole Sails" she said. By now Derek had his hands to himself knowing that I would bite him. "Really?!! I saw that name in a grave. First thing I saw. Maybe I was visiting her grave. I'm sure she was nice." I said sad at the end. The family looked at me with pure happiness. "Maybe, but my sister doesn't hang out with anyone really" Kevin said. "Well I hang out with everybody so maybe we weren't besties but were friends" I said. "Can I see a picture of her?" I asked hoping it will bring memories back. "Sure" the father said before handing me a picture. She looked identical to me except she wore a lot of dark colors. Her brown hair was straight and covered her face a little. She wore a gothic chocker but she seemed to be nice. The look in her eyes said that she couldn't even harm a fly. We were exactly alike, although I had curled hair that didn't cover my face and I wore mostly pink or green clothes. When wearing jewelry I didn't wear chocker necklaces. "Holy Chickens! She looks like me!" I said. The family laughed a bit and nodded. "We would like you to meet someone. Follow us?" Sarah said quietly almost as if afraid of rejection. "Yup! Right Derek?", "Yup" he responded. We got in the Impala and followed them to a really big house. We got into the house when the family started to yell out a bunch of names. Then I footsteps and saw a boy walk down. He then started to smell the air frantically. "Mate" he said sadly which made the weird family cheer for some odd reason. That made the guy look over to them with a look that said that he thought they were going crazy. "Nikki, meet Justin" Sarah said. Justin then looked at me and ran towards me. He picked me up and spun me around before smashing his lips in mine. This was wrong! Derek was my boyfriend, we dated a few times and this night we were going to have a date. I had my eyes open and wide and stayed frozen. Derek and me were looking at each other with wide eyes. I liked how Justin's lips felt but I won't give in a kiss back. Then all of a sudden Justin squeezed my butt which caused my eyes to go wider and my mouth to open. Derek looked upset once he saw Justin's hand on my butt. I gathered up strength and pushed Justin away. He stumbled a bit before opening his eyes and looking at me hurt. I immediately ran to him and jumped on him. I hugged the life out of him. "Don't be hurt! Or sad!" I yelled loudly in his ear. Causing everyone to chuckle including him and Derek. I then jumped off and smiled at him before walking towards Derek. Derek wrapped an arm around my waist and smiled at me. "Guess what!" I yelled loudly. "They all grinned and said 'what'. "Bear!!!" I screamed. They all laughed but no I was serious. I was going to say pineapple but I saw a big bear right inside the house behind everyone. "No really! Bear!" I cried out. They looked at me confused until they heard a big sound come from the bear. They turned around slowly to come face to face with a big brown bear. "Holy sh-" I cut then off yelled, "Holy Chickens!". I then ran outside along with the others.
