Epilogue

- Luke's POV -

I honestly don't know how I have survived the past 2 years without Lucia.  Being a single dad is very hard. Our eldest daughter, Millie, who is 15 has done a lot for this family. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful daughter.

Lucia had passed away 2 years ago while giving birth. She went into labour too early and the doctor told me that her body couldn't take what was happening. The baby was lucky enough to survive, but Lucia died.

Nothing has been the same ever since, except from me and Millie have a closer bond than before Lucia had passed away. Now Millie isn't as social anymore, and when she isn't helping around the house she just hides upstairs in her bedroom. I would do the same as her if I didn't have the children, but I have to be strong infront of them. I want her to be social because I don't want her to worry too much about us, she needs her free time and to be happy like before.

Ashton, Calum and Michael have been there for me through it all, so have my family and Lucia's. Her mother is still in bits but she's learning to cope. We are supporting each other. It's quite hard for the boys too because they had become really close friends with Lucia. They miss her like crazy.

"Millie, why don't you go shopping today? I'll give you the money" I suggested to her.

"I'm ok dad, but thank you" she laid down on her bed and faced the wall.

"I know it's hard without your mum, but she wouldn't want you sitting here being upset. She would want you to enjoy your life, and be social. This is hard for me too" I sighed.

"I just miss her so much!" She broke down into tears.

"Me too.. We all do! I've always said to her that I would protect her and help her get through anything but... I couldn't help her this time"

"You were honestly the best husband to her, dad" she hugged me.

"I tried my best. I still don't understand why and how she passed away, Millie." I told her.

"I don't really understand either, but I'm glad I still have you, little Ollie, and the boys and the families. Oh, and Tia"

Tia is Millie's bestfriend and she has been so supportive about the whole situation.

"We can get through this, I promise" I kissed her forehead and went to leave her room.

"Dad, can we go and see her grave please?" She sat up and looked at me.

"Are you sure you want to go?"

She nodded her head.

"I love you mum, I always will. Life is hard, and it always will be but I couldn't of asked for a better mum and dad. He is doing such a great job handling with this. The girls and the boys have helped us a lot. I just wish you were here with us. It's not the same without you anymore. Life isn't as happy. I'm lost. I'm trying my hardest at school, and I hope I make you proud with everything I do.. Bc you made me proud to be able to call you my mother" Millie laid her flowers on her grave as she cried.

A few tears had rolled down my cheek.

"Dad, it's ok" Millie chocked as she hugged me.

"Lucia, you were the love of my life. And you still are. I know you would want me to move on, and be happy with someone else. But I can't because no other girl makes me as happy as you did, and I can't love any other girl like I loved you. My love for you is indescribable. You were my bestfriend, my soulmate, my wife. We are doing fine, Ollie is such a good little boy. He keeps saying mum, and I.... I have to tell him you aren't here, which is the hardest thing I've ever said. I hope I'm making you proud with how I'm raising out two beautiful children, because I'm so proud of how they're turning our. I love you so much"

That's it! Its the end. OMG, I cried while writing this😭 I know it isn't really detailed and it's quite short but I don't want to make anyone upset.

Also, I know I said there would be book 2 but I figured that it wouldn't work, so I just wrote this instead. I hope it's ok😊
