It came.

The last dreaded day finally came around the corner like a burglar sneaking away from the law.

Dipper panted and wheezed, a hand on his chest as the heart monitor beeped faster and faster.
Dr Green and some nurses were doing everything they can, but their efforts were unfortunately in vain.
"Dipper?! Dipper, don't go!" Mabel shrieked, terrified. Will stared at the heart monitor and his beloved in fear, unable to stop it.
Dipper Gleeful let out a hacking cough, closing his eyes due to the force of air coming out of him as he tried to clear his lungs.
"D-Dipper! P-please, speak t-to us!!" Will whimpered.

Dipper's coughing ceased, the flashing machine beeped a little slower.
"Mabel, Will. I have something to *cough* say. You guys, YOU GUYS, have made my life a pleasure. Will, even after the moments of torture and hate, you've stuck by us. I feel such regret for doing that to you, blueberry. I love you more...than words...can say" Dipper told them.
He turned to Mabel.
"Sister, my dearest sister, I love you and I will miss you so much. You've been my best friend, my protector, the one I protected, even my enemy at times-" he laughed slightly "but no matter what, I will always be with you, Mabel. The shows have always been the best things that happened, I'll miss that."
Mabel sniffled.
"Brother, don't talk like that, you're going to live. Please, just for a little while longer" she begged.
Both Mabel and Will clung to the weakened form of Dipper like a lifeline.

A rustling sound was heard as Dipper brought out a small package.
"Will, this is for you. Don't open it until it's over, understand?" he asked.
"Y-Yes, my love" Will murmured, wiping away his tears.
"Tell....Ford and Stan.....I'll miss them. My...time has...come" Dipper sighed, leaning back on the pillow with closed eyes as he drew his last dying breath.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

The frightening and ominous sound echoed through the silent hospital room.
Flat line.
"Dipper, wake up. Wake up!" Will shouted, shaking Dipper's body.
No reply came from the silent brunette.
Will Cipher let out an anguished scream before hugging the corpse, sobbing loudly.
Mabel cried almost as hard as the demon, protesting as the doctors pulled them both away from Dipper.

They couldn't believe it.

He was gone.

And this time, it was for good.
