School ending- summer beginning

  It was the last day of school. FINALLY!!
"I will officially after this day be a senior in high school." I whispered to myself. I walked down stairs from my room and grabbed my bag for school. Since it was the last day it wasn't as heavy as it usually is. I shoved a granola bar and water in my bag, which would be my lunch most likely. I checked my phone and ran to my car to head to school.
This year the student body had to get to the school 20 minutes early for finals. The principal wanted to get it done early so we had a couple minutes at the end of the day to regroup.

RING........RING............RING............

I looked at my phone and it was Carrie.
Carrie was my best friend I loved her sooooo much. She and I had been friends for almost 10 years, we were practically sisters. We spent almost everyday together but since I started "secretly dating jay" we don't talk much.

"Hello." I spoke softly cause I didn't know
her mood. "What's up."

"OMG!!!! One of the football players just talked to me where are you. He was soooooo dreamy. But wait guess what he asked me about?" She spoke very proudly for such a short girl.

Carrie had long blonde hair that flowed to her butt. Her torso was short with medium-ish long legs. She was pale, but had a very good complexion, and bright blue eyes. The only off about her was that she always wore these HUGE wedges that made her as tall as me.
"What." I continued. I was actually kinda scared. The things people talked to her about where sometimes terrifying, they usually make me wanna throw up.

"Ok. Well.... You have to keep an open mind and don't hang up." She took a pause waiting for me to speak, but I didn't know how to respond.

"Well. He asked about you. YOU!! Can you believe that. OMG I can't remember who it was but he was HOT." She always spoke very fast, sometimes to the point that u couldn't even hear her.

Could she be talking about jay. Hopefully not, we made a deal to not talk to each others friends. I mean "JAY".

I spoke his name into the phone.

"Who's jay.......... SARAH." She said yelling my name, causing me to drop the phone.

"Jay. Oh I don't know. I'm pulling in talk to you soon." I Hung up before she could get anything out.

I pulled into the school parking lot. Which was already halfway full, with students fooling around and kids leaning against there cars with friends.
I noticed jay. He was leaning against his bright yellow jeep, he had 3 of his football buddies he was joking around with. He pushed one of there shoulders playfully, before looking up at my car. He did a quick smile at me and turned back to his friends like it never happened.
I wish he would just walk over to me and hug me then ask about my morning or day. He usually does this on the weekend, when we're alone or with family.
The early bell rang and everyone started walking towards the school.

"Hey, wait up Sarah." Carrie yelled at me from 6 cars down. Everyone then looked at me as I turned around to look at Carrie.

Then the main "MEAN GIRLS" walked by me. Saying there usually unhurt full things.
"That's that footballers stalker". "Wow she's actually pretty, I thought she was one of those ugly stalkers" .

"Don't worry about them. Your not a stalker. I wonder which footballer made that one up." She askers with question in her voice.
I quickly changed the subject. I was trying not to slip up and tell her. Then it would be spread like wildfire, that the stalker actually got the guy.
"Sooooo..... Are you ready for finals. I mean it is the very last day were juniors." I spoke jabbing her in the rib with my elbow. She grabbed it and said ow. It probably didn't really hurt her, she is very over-dramatic.

" yeah finals... Sooooo fun!!!" She said as sarcastically as she possibly could.

We walked into the school and into class together. Atleast one of the people I loved actually walked by me, instead of hiding me.

~Later that day,After school~

School was finally over, finals and all. I went to my locker to make sure nothing was left. I cleared it and turned everything into the office, that I had accident left in my locker at the beginning of the school year.
I walked out to my car and opened the door. There one the seat was a folded peice of paper and a jewel box.
I opened the peice of paper that read.

Dear My love SARAH,
I am soo sorry I haven't told my friends yet. But I made you a promise so I will eventually. I love you sooooooo much and hope that were together for the rest of our life's. We've been through so much together and I want to work through this out together also. My love, my everything, please forgive me for this morning. Who cares what my friends say, I will tell today after school. When ur done reading the letter come to my car and WE can tell them. If there not ok with it, well the hell with them.

I looked up and smiled. I grabbed the box and another small paper feel out.

SARAH-
A promise ring to promise that whatever we go through we will always stay together. Maybe one day, hopefully soon we will get married.

I grabbed the box and looked at the ring. It had 1 tiny diamond on it. It was real because you could tell by the sparkle and shine to the metal around it.
I put down the box and shoved it into my bag. I began to walk over to him, he was standing by his car. He looked up at me when one of his friends pointed towards me.

All of a sudden a girl named Zoe came over and kissed him. I almost fell to the ground.
I ran back to my car, which was only a couple feet and started driving away. I never saw him pull away from the kiss.
