Vakerian Guard: In the city

The artillery guns stopped firing when the city had been breached and you could hear the steaming of the barrels of them in the city miles away. It was silent beside the crumbling of hab buildings and the crunch of glass under foot. Private Fergo Put the fire selecter on semi and walked down what looked like a high street with Cars on either side and a PDF half track peppered with holes and blood and the owners of the blood sat dead against the vehicle his las carbine pointing into some store.

"Guys, halt i sense something" said prefect Casdellen the platoons leader. A dog ran out of a alley way and the platoon.

"Dog!!!" exclaimed a Trooper laughing.

The stealth suits were waiting for the humans to get to this street they snuck behind the platoon and another half in front picking out the main threats. A tall thin man carrying a grenade laucher, a slightly smaller then the others wearing a cap with a gun not like a las gun with drum like magazine and a Tracker with the biggest armour and a helmet with a red HUD appearing before the humans eyes. Fergo didn't laugh and switched his las to auto and curved his finger to it's trigger. The first shot struck the Guardsmen with the grenade launcher blowing his back out from the front the next was a human running to the half track. Fergo sprayed a squad of stealth suits who hadn't fired he knew they were there just a second before they fired they fuzzed out of stealth and dropped dead he then turned back around pulling out his las pistol as his las gun magazine dropped out. Fergo fired two shots into another stealth suits head and his fellow squad members firing at the rest.

The vox then came alive with messages of attack on the small base where the bunkers are.

"Kroot and Tau we haven't seen any Vespids yet but we need all platoons to get back here we're holding them back for the moment get here now" shouted the vox operator.

When Fergo got to the base there where hundreds of dead Vakerian but more of Kroot when they got in the company wide firing line.

"First rank... Fire....Second rank... Fire...Third rank...Fire" said the Questor on a Amplifier in the pauses that rank fired.

Legate Cantz voxed to the artillery battery.

"Shot master requesting your Basilisk detail to fire earth shakers..... I understand how close we are just fire our ranks aren't gonna be able to keep them back" he scratched his head then it came through.

Fergo was in a building where a heavy weapons team was set. He heard a whistle then it stopped knowing the Tau didn't use solid rounds he knew artillery had opened up.

When the first earth shaker round hit the loose ground, glass, cassings and anything very loose jumped in the air then fell then again and again and again as four earth shaker rounds hit annihilating any buildings left collapsed any of the aliens who survived the first round which got any charging the next fifty meters along the road killing any who were running back. After the rounds hit any surviving Kroot or Tau surrendered most clearly shell shocked others just injured any who could still fight saw their comrades fall just gave in. Commisar Fadro Zas walked up to the Tau commander who losing most his forces took off his armour and walked to the Imperial Guard.

"I have given myself up to you Human all i ask is you treat my forces well treat me as you will" he said

"Its okay xeno i will keep you well if you tell me what you are doing on this planet, what are your numbers your just a company commander where is your whole force." The Commisar said his hand going into his pocket to get a data slate.

"Okay i will tell you." The Tau said

after a hour over a map and tapping on a data slate he had it.

"Thank you Commander Tal'shab" The Commisar then pulled his Bolt pistol out and shot the Tau in his head

"Legate Cantz kill the Tau prisoner's." He said

The Legate nodded and walked to a squad which proceeded to the make shift prison with a sentinel close behind.
