Chapter 5

Bea

I was in my room bored as ever, when I heard my phone beeped. I rushed towards it, since I badly needed a company. It was thirdy.

*From: Thirdey*

Hey. I know you're bored. I'll pick you up now.

I replied.

*To: Thirdey*

Assuming ka din eh noh. And what makes you so sure na sasama ako sayo?

*From: Thirdey*

C'mon bei. I want to see you now. Please.

*To: Thirdey*

Fine. Be here in five or forget it.

Hindi na siya nag-reply. Probably nagdri-drive na. Hahaha! Eversince he confessed, we've been better than ever. We hang out like 4 times a week, sometimes even everyday. I know, clingy right.

I got dressed and went down. He'll probably be there any minute now.

Thirdy

I hurried up to Eliazo to pick her up. I'm now courting her, in case you didn't know.

When I got there, she got in quickly before I could even get out to open the door for her.

Bea: Bilisan mo aba. Gutom nako.
Thirdy: Yun naman pala eh. Tatanggi ka pa kanina.
Bea: FYI, tinatanong ko lang what makes you so sure na sasama ako. Hindi ako tumatanggi noh.
Thirdy: Oh! Yun! Gusto mo talaga akong makasama. (smiling)
Bea: Bahala ka. Bilisan mo na lang.

Bea

We went to UPTC and we ate at Mama Lou's. Then, I forced thirdy to come with me at Aeropostale. Nandito na din naman ako eh. He just sat down in one of the couches when someone called his name.

Billie: Thirds!!
Thirdy: Oh! Billie.

Then this "billie" rushed to thirdy and hugged him. I was staring at them. Literally staring.

Billie: I missed you!
Thirdy: Ahhh.. Haha.

I gave him a look first then went on to my shopping. I don't want to be low-key third-wheeling kahit ako naman talaga kasama ni thirdy. Bahala sila, magsama silang dalawa.

I tried on a bunch of shirts and some dresses kahit hindi naman ako masyadong nagsususuot ng ganon. Sinadya kong tagalan yung pagsho-shopping ko para pagbalik ko wala na yung "billie" na yun. Aba'y pagbalik ko andun parin. Ang tindi, grabe. I sat in one of the couches na rin but far from the one they were sitting on. Hayst naman.

Thirdy

I was still chatting with billie when my phone beeped.

*From: Bei*

May plano ka bang umuwi? Kung wala sabihin mo lang, mauuna na ko.

I stared at it. Then I replied.

*To: Bei*

Don't. Where are you?

*From: Bei*

I'll be the one to go there. Wait lang.

Thirdy: Billie, it was really nice talking you. But I have to go.
Billie: Oh, sure! Thank you for the time. See you around!

Then, like on cue, bea appeared.

Thirdy: Let's go? (smiling)

Bea didn't even respond, she just looked at me and headed for the door. Galit ata.

Thirdy: Uy, bei. Nainip ka ba? Sorry na. Napahaba lang ata usapan namin.
Bea: Gusto mo pang makipag-kwentuhan? Sige. Go.
Thirdy: C'mon bei, hindi ng-
Bea: Go nga diba? Sundan mo na.

And when she turned around, I can't help but smile a bit. Is she..?

Thirdy: Are you....Jealous? (I smiled at the thought)

Now she faced me.

Bea: Ha. Ha. Ha. Asa ka.

Then she started walking again. I caught up to her and placed my arm on her shoulder.

Thirdy: Aminin mo na kasi.
Bea: Anong aaminin? Walang aaminin.
Thirdy: Eh ba't ba ang sungit-sungit mo? (I snickered)
Bea: Eh kasi ang tagal-tagal mo.
Thirdy: De' sana nagtext ka ng mas maaga.
Bea: So kung hindi ako nag-text, wala ka pa talagang planong umuwi? Ahh, NAPASARAP nga pala yung usapan niyo.
Thirdy: Parang mas naiinis ka pa ata sa pag-uusap namin kaysa sa paghihintay mo ah. (I smirked) You're jealous, I just kno-
Bea: Oh my God thirdy. YES! YES I FREAKING AM!

Both of us were stunned with what she said. She covered her mouth with her hands, obviously shocked with what she had said too. I smiled. She removed her hands and she started walking again. I caught up to her and hugged her from behind.

Thirdy: I'm sorry. Let's go home na.

And I held her hand.
