I still remember yesterday.
The thoughts clouded my mind.
You kept raising your finger
Pointing towards your heart
Then "you hurt me right here."
Escaped your mouth more than once.
You kept giving me lectures
On how to be the better person.
Truthfully, I didn't need those lectures.
I knew the right thing to do.
I chose to not be the better person.
