ANIME REVIEW: Uchouten Kazoku

Uchouten Kazoku (The Eccentric Family))

  Synopsis: 

       Kyoto has been populated by groups of tanuki and tengu for years, living alongside humans who are oblivious to the existence of these creatures. Yasaburou Shimogamo is the third son of an influential tanuki family who spends his carefree days taking care of an old tengu, observing humans through his ability to shapeshift, and dealing with the mysterious woman named Benten.

       Behind the peace and tranquility, however, is a painful memory from long ago as Yasaburou's father, head of the tanuki community, was killed and eaten by a group of humans known as the Friday Fellows. Uchouten Kazoku follows the trials and tribulations of the Shimogamo brothers as they struggle to avoid their own grisly demise while coming ever closer to unraveling the truth behind their father's death.

[REVIEW]

Plot:

          The plot is kinda unique and good, kwento ito ng isang "tanuki" family, sa unang episode may idea ka naagad sa mga makikita mong character like kung ano sila at ang ginawa nila, ang tanuki ay shape-shifting raccoon dogs habang ang tengu naman ay ang mga lumilipad. Pag pinanuod mo you'll encounter the word "Friday Fellows" sila naman ang mga taong kuma kain ng tanuki kada taon bilang isang tradition nila. So kailangan ng mga tanuki na hindi sila mahuli ng Friday Fellows, weird right? pero believe me behind this weird overview is a really beautiful story.

         You will know the challenges you have to face by being a shape-shifting tanuki, and get to know the truth behind how the head of the Shimogamo family really died, this one my dear reader is one interesting truth believe me.

     You will get inspired by Yasaburo's adventure, you will see the allegory about loving family-life and the corruption in our political circle. I must say that the plot is written in a flawless way, from the details on every scene to the use of words throughout the show.

       Nagandahan talaga ako sa plot, napaluha ako ng hindi oras hahahaha kasi naman feel na feel mo yung scene lalo na pag nakaka relate ka, nag ka feels lang ako nung nag sisimula nang pag usapan yung tungkol sa father nila. 

Art Style: 

    Yung pag kaka animate sa mga character is kinda oldish anime style pero hindi naman ganun ka luma pero yung mga background is well animated syempre may flaws din minsan pero kahit may flaws sa animation naipakita naman ng maayos yung nature ng theme na dapat ipakita.

 Music:

       The OP song is awesome!, nakapag dagdag yung opening na kwelang nature nung anime habang yung ED song naman which is kinda ballad-ish? pina pakita naman dito yung the drama/ beautiful side nung anime, at nagustuhan ko din yung on scene songs na nagdadala sayo para maramdaman mo yung dapat mong maramdaman sa scene na ipinapakita.

Character: 

            Yung mga characters is well developed and throughout the show  you will still see some character development. Kaya ko nasabing well developed sila kasi they show who they really are yung tipong hindi sila na layo sa characteristic nila bilang isang character for example si Benten sa simula pa lang nag labas na siya ng mysterious vibes at napaka unpredictable niya at she still hangang sa katapusa ng anime. Sa isang anime bibihira ang mga well developed characters kahit yung mga super magagandang o sikat na anime nag kukulang rin dito. 

            Character development is important kasi pag wala to nagiging boring yung anime character at sa anime na to not a single character is boring kasi na bring out talaga nila yung role nila.

     Anyways sana may ma realize ka pag pinanuod mo to, kasi this anime is worth watching pramis itong anime na to ang hinahanap ko these days kasi puro you know pa ulit ulit na lang ang plot or something like that.
