I couldn't stop thinking about Deborah's condition. Its been almost three years now, and her demented ex still makes life at school a living hell for her. Some prick he is. Well, enough is enough.
It's about time that justice was served. All the stress and pain that he put that poor girl through was enough to break a person. And that's exactly what he has done to Deborah. For that, I can never forgive scum like him. Not a few minutes later, he came with his crew of idiots and slack offs. Nothing but bad news; spawns of Blüdhaven. Everywhere Brent went, he brought along his pet demons to cause even more havoc: harassment, assault, bullying, damaging property, pick a single felony from a deck of cards, he committed it. To think he was considered to be the golden little angel, and me the devil's child.
The four lackeys approached and surrounded the perimeter while their "Over lord" stepped four feet in front of me. His ashen blonde hair draped partially over those auburn eyes, making him appear like a ghoul, as the right half of his lip turned up into an ostentatious grin.
"Well, what do we have here?"
I turned a blind eye to the three lackeys in back who were gloating
"Enough with the witty remarks, Brent." I got up close and personal with his ego. "You know why I'm here."
"Of course...how could I not. You're here because of the little beating your friend took."
In an instant I felt the force of Brent's open palms thrust me into the locker. I kept my eyes on his; heartless. He came closer with a mean grin on his face. What i'd give to slap it right off.
"What's the matter, huh?" His ugly mug was so close that I could smell the stench of raw meat after each word let out of his mouth. "Can't stomach the fact that I'm better than you?"
The three behind had decided to breach in more, closing in on space. There was no where to run and no where to hide. The only thing left i could do-
"What a joke!"
I took the bat, banged it hard against the locker, and watched as the gang started their poor retreat. After that showboat, i decided to go on a rampage. I started by banging on the floors next, like a crazy bitch, then ran straight towards Brent. I could see the startled gleam in his eyes, as he tried scouring for a way out.
"H-Hey, don't just stand there you idiots!"
By the time he finished shouting was the moment, I swung around spiraling with the bat trying to fend off those crooks. What was I thinking? I didn't even have a plan...huh, some "bravery" i'm showing right?
"That bitch is crazy!?!"
"She's swingin' that thing like no body's business, and don't even know how to use it!" one laughed.
Without knowing what else to do next, I screeched at the top of my lungs, "Come get me bitches, and see what crazy is?" Then, I stomped my right foot forward, as the rest tested my blunt
"Ugh..boss, whadda we do?"
I wasn't intending to cause any anarchy today...oh well.
Five minutes later...
"Miss Kate, do you have any idea what you have just done?"
I sat back with my feet crossed, not caring about anything that i did. Apparently i didn't think anything through when i was making all that noise.
Before the principal could start up another sentence, i best give her some answer.
"No." I say, stubbornly.
"Of course." Principal Lorius walked from one end of the room to the other in small paces. "Now why would that be?" She asked.
"Is..that a rhetorical question?"
"Well you tell me?"
I hate it when nuns pull this bull shit.
I got fed up pretty quickly having to be answered with series of morality checking questions.
"Look," I sigh, "If you don't have anything better to do than waste my ti-
"Miss Carver!"
" Miss CARVER this...Miss Carver that. Don't you nuns have anything better to do than let helpless children get their asses handed to them?"
"And I'm supposed to believe that you were the one who was defenseless? " Principal Danvers laughed.
Sometimes i keep forgetting that whenever I do good nothing good in return ever comes of it.
"I may have had the bat, but Brent and his fools were the ones who were threatening me!"
"Yeah you mean the four who have been injured by your so called. 'Self- Defense'? Get real."
At this point i was pissed and done with this entire school.
"Will no one listen to what I have to say for once! Why do I always have to be the bad guy!"
The principal stood by speechless. Lucky for her i had nothing more to say. Whats the point in trying to defend your case when you know that everyone is against you.
I got up, grabbed my bag, then headed for the door.
"Call me back here with an apology, when you get it through your head. I've been right all along." I storm out of the office with the bat, that had been slightly bloodied.
All i broke was a nose.
