Chapter 4:Meeting Atlanta

Today I'm meeting the person I'll be living on a bus with for the next two months. Mia is driving and I'm sitting next to her in the passenger seat with Ariana and Remsen in the  backseat headbanging to Don't Let Me Down by The Chainsmokers ft. Daya. Why headbanging you may ask? Not sure. Mia slams down on the brakes and we all jerk forward "REALLY ASSHOLE?!" Mia yells and flips off another driver, the person parks and starts getting out of their car "Oh shit, go go go." She says and keeps driving. "So, when can you tell me who we're meeting?" I ask "Oh, I guess I can tell you. Her names Atlanta." "I think I know her." I respond with a small nod, the song ends making Remsen and Ariana shout, "Boo!" 

18 by One Direction comes on next and I sing along. Through the corner of my eye I see Remsen with her phone out recording me singing. Mia parks and the music cuts off while I'm in the middle of singing "Awh..." I say with a pout "We're here!" She cheers and we all get out. We walk into Olive Garden and I look around. A pretty girl with ombre hair waves us down, I'm assuming that's Atlanta.

We walk over and sit down. Mia introduces everyone to each other and we start talking. "So, how long have you and Cole been together?" I ask out of pure curiosity "I know how long we've been together, but Cole, do you?" She asks and looks at Cole with a raised brow "Of course I know how long we've been together, it's been the best few years of my life." Cole says with a cheesy smile "Stop stalling." She says, Cole looks to us "We've been together for, four years, nine months, three weeks, nine days, six hours, five minutes and one-hundred-twenty-eight seconds." He says and looks at her "Holy shit ... Not even I knew that much, I knew the four years and nine months thing but ... Damn." Atlanta says and laughs a little "Haha, I'm a better boyfriend than you are a girlfriend." Cole teases and she just rolls her eyes.

"So, do you have any special somebody?" Atlanta says and Remsen smirks at me. I smile at the thought "Um, not exactly." I say "Yes she does, they just haven't made it official." Remsen says "No I don't, we aren't dating, he probably doesn't even like me, well in that way at least." I say blushing "Girl, please, shut up cause you know he does." Remsen says and I sigh. A waitress walks up to us while smiling brightly "Hello, my name is Ryan and I'll be your waitress for today. What would you like to drink?" She asks and we tell her what we want. She walks away and I grab one of the bread sticks not worrying about if I look like a pig eating it or not "Damn girl, you must have been pretty damn hungry." Atlanta says laughing a little "When is she not?" Remsen asks and laughs a bit too "True." I say with a mouth full "Don't talk with your mouth full, it's rude, plus you're famous now, you have to be more proper." Mia instructs and I nod swallowing the bread sticks "Holy shit, I saw that go down your throat." Atlanta says and I laugh a little "How did you not choke?" She asks and I shrug, I look over to Cole who is smirking "What?" I ask, obviously referring to why he's smirking "Giggity." He says and his smirk turns into a smile. Atlanta sighs and shakes her head but I just laugh "Yes bitch, me and you are going to get along well." I say and I see Atlanta's grip on Cole's hand tighten.

Ryan walks over and hands out our drinks. I rip the top of the paper off my straw and blow it at Cole, he looks offended and blows his paper at me, his paper hits me directly in the forehead and we laugh. "Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" Atlanta asks and I look at her "Oh, sure." I say and we stand up. We walk over by the bathrooms "Not to be rude or anything but, can you like, back off of Cole, I'm trying not to sound like a bitch but It's really annoying me." She says, obviously holding back her anger  "Of course, I'm sorry if it felt like I was trying to steal him, I'll back off." I say "Thank you so much, I'm sorry if I sounded rude I wasn't trying to offend you and I'm sorry if I did." She apologizes "Oh no, you're fine I get it, I would have done the same thing." I say and she nods. We walk back to the booth and sit down. Cole puts his arm around her and kisses her cheek making her smile. I take a sip of my drink and eat another bread stick "What would you like to eat?" Ryan asks "Oh, I'll have the lasagna." I say "Same." Atlanta answers and we both hand Ryan our menus. I smile at Atlanta and she smiles back.

After lunch, we all decided to go shopping, Cole just walked along with us looking completely bored the entire time. Cole and I sat next to each other on the couch while Atlanta was trying on clothes, but I quickly moved to the other side of the couch just in case Atlanta gets mad at me for sitting next to him. "So, who's the guy that you say probably doesn't like you?" Cole asks after Atlanta goes back in the dressing room to try on another outfit "Oh, his names Jason." I say and smile while thinking about him "Well, I haven't even known you a whole day and you seem pretty cool, I think he'd like you." Cole says rather blandly "Thanks, I mean we used to be pretty good friends, but the summer after High-School we grew apart." I say and Atlanta walks out "What about this one?" She asks and does a pose "I dunno, turn around." Cole says with a smirk and she turns so we can see the back of the outfit. Cole takes his phone out of his back pocket and takes a picture of a butt "Yea it's nice." He says and puts his phone back in his pocket.

I look over at Cole when Atlanta goes back in the dressing room and smirk, he smirks back. "Well if you used to be friends with him just talk about stuff he likes." Cole says and I nod "Thanks for the advice." I say and he nods and says, "Any time." blandly and gets on his phone, only looking up when Atlanta walked out in a new outfit to give his opinion.

After a couple hours of shopping, Remsen and I decided to head home so we didn't get in trouble again. We got in the car and began driving to Ariana's house to drop her off. After dropping Ariana off we drove back to the campus. We parked and got out of the car and ran up to the front doors to see Mrs. Jewels staring at her watch and waiting for us "If you were three seconds later you would have been kicked out of the school, you're playing a risky game here ladies." She warns and walks away. I walk upstairs with Remsen and start towards our dorm "Race ya!" I yell to Remsen and start running before her. I look back to her and  accidentally run in to Jason and fall on top of him "Ow." I hear him mutter. I stand and help him up "I'm sorry Jason, I didn't see you there." I apologize, and it was the truth, I hadn't seen him "It's fine." He says rubbing his head "So, long time no see. I'm happy we ran into each other." I say with a smile "Yea, but you actually ran into me." He says with the same dorky smile he has when he tells a pun "Shut up." I say and hit him playfully.

After talking to Jason for a little while we decided to hang out all day tomorrow. In other news I finally finished writing two of the songs  that are going to be in my Album and Mia was talking about how I need a band so I'm going to have auditions tomorrow, Jason is going to help me pick people out. I also decided instead of auditioning drummers Jason was just going to be my drummer. He's really talented and I'm glad he actually said yes to being in my band. I set down my book and turn on my side to stare out the window that's next to my bed. I could swear I saw someone duck down.
