An Adventure with Pentatonix

Chapter 8

All of them headed back to the cabin when the sun was almost invisible. Scott ignited his hands to use as a light source.

The cabin was of visible distance. But Kevin stopped dead in his tracks.

Mitch looked back and saw that Kevin was a statue.

"What's wrong Kev-"

"Shh!" He hissed, bring a finger up to his lips, signalling all of them to be quiet.

Kevin looked at the tree tops around them and listened tentavely. He stopped at one tree and brought his fingers to his temple.

A man came floating out of the tree top, struggling against the restraint of Kevin's mind abilities.

Kevin set him on the ground, still keeping the lock on him. Avi stepped forward.

"Who are you and why are you following us?" Avi bellowed, keeping a low voice.

"Can you ask him to let me go first? This is very uncomfortable."

Avi gave Kevin a nod. The grip released and the guy fell to the floor.

All of them, including the mysterious man, headed back to the cabin, making the conclusion that it was too cold to stay outside.

All of them gathered in the living room, Kevin, Avi, and Scott sitting on the big couch, Kirstie and Mitch sitting infront of them, and the man sitting across from all of them.

"So, who are you?" Scott questioned after a long pause of silence.

"My name is Jeremy. I come from the other side of the island. I was wandering around and I found you guys."

"What's your power?" Kirstie asked, leaning forward in fascination.

"Well..." Jeremy started off, but then he disappeared.

Everyone looked around, and turned their attention towards the kitchen.

"Can you guess?" Jeremy asked, disappearing and then re-appearing in the seat again.

Mitch excitedly clapped his hands together. "Teleportation!"

Jeremy smiled. "Correct." He held up his hand to show off his symbol.

Inscribed in the palm of his hand was a stick figure of a man with wavy lines around it.

"Well, do you have anywhere else to be?" Mitch questioned while studying his mark.

"No, just kinda been roughing it the past few days." Jeremy replied with a shrug.

"Well why don't you stay here?" Avi suggested, Jeremy smiling almost immediately.

"Thank you so much. You guys are so nice."

Kevin quickly talked with Kirstie before showing Jeremy where he would be staying, in Kirstie's room.

They all said their goodnight goodbyes and headed off into to sleep for the night.
