About a year later

The town awoke with great enlightenment. Today was one year from the day that the war occurred, so the town loved to celebrate their victory.
They decorated the square with streamers and balloons, setting tables and hanging lights for their afternoon bash. Tonight was truly one to remember, and the town was gonna make sure of it.

Music blasted and people danced, smiling with their loved ones. The microphone sounded and everyone stopped to give their full attention.
"Thank you all for coming to this special ceremony/occasion." Esther said into the mic. She had recently been elected as new major due to her kind heart and ability to manage task extremely well.
"One year ago today, a war broke out among us. It was driven by hatred for something..and people we didn't understand! It was rude and inhumane of us. They deserve to be treated like people.. because they are people." Esther preached, earning cheers throughout the crowd.
"Here they are...Pentatonix!" Esther announced, clapping before stepping down to let Scott and his group on stage.
"Thank you. When we were told that we had these abilities, we wished for them to be removed. We had been so brainwashed to believe that what we were naturally being was so wrong. We were taught to not be ourselves." Scott explained, gesturing for Mitch to take the mic.
"Our powers are beautiful, just like all of you. Never be afraid to be someone you were born to be. Don't let anybody tell you differently. Because who you are is amazing in every way." Mitch added, smiling sweetly.
Scott walked back up to the mic.
"I think I speak for all of us when I say this: To the future generations of us, we welcome you. This is something wonderful you're going to experience." Scott finished off, earning nods from his group and cheering from crowd.
They all bowed and stepped down from the stage to rejoin the party.
They finally got what they wanted all this time: To be themselves.
